Elementary Promo Teases New Moriarty Threat, Season-Ending 'Reckoning'

The close of Elementary Season 4 promises to give Sherlock (played by Jonny Lee Miller) an unsettling blast from his past.

As seen in this first look at a new promo for the season’s final two episodes, airing May 1 and May 8 (following this Sunday’s fresh outing), the threat of more menace at the hand of Jamie Moriarty haunts Sherlock and Joan. Though Natalie Dormer perhaps need not put in an encore to pull that off…?

As previously and exclusively reported by TVLine, Defiance fave Tony Curran is set to debut in this season’s penultimate episode, airing May 1, as an economics professor with more than a passing interest in Sherlock’s greatest nemesis. Could he be the one haunting Holmes?

Press play above and share your latest theory on Moriarty’s “return.”

Please let this season finale be interesting.. please.

This season has been really good. I do think the show can have very boring batches, especially during season 2, but this season is probably it’s best yet.

Lol no, I don’t see how the season without a consistent interesting storyline can be “the best” of all. Nothing is going on in this show anymore except of boring cases of the week.
So-called “storyline” with Sherlock’s father is slow and uninteresting as hell.

That may be what you think but there are many of us who are finding the Morland story line quite interesting. In fact, I hope it continues next year..

I’m glad JLM finally got a show that has lasted for more than a season. Loved him in Eli Stone.

  3. DL says:

He’s playing a “professor”? This sounds overwhelmingly like Curran will be playing James Moriarty — Jamie’s father, presumably. It would a perfect parallel for Sherlock and Morland, and it might also mean we’re getting the Elementary version of Reichenbach Falls. Hope this turns out to be the case.

  4. Ash says:

His voice definitely sounds more like the voice that we first heard as Moriarty. I thought he was who it was, actually. Wondering if they’ll reveal he’s a Moriarty too.

I gave up on this show after they they forced sherlock into that vomitable romance with his annoying new girlfriend. but this promo looks quite intriguing, maybe I’ll check out last episodes after all.
