Game of Thrones Season 6 Trailer

Game of Thrones Renewed for Season 7

Just three days ahead of Game of Thrones‘ long-awaited return, HBO announced that it has ordered a seventh season of the swords-and-dragons drama.

The renewal announcement did not include the number of episodes in Season 7, though the series’ executive producers recently discussed the possibility of doing only seven episodes — instead of the usual 10 — in Season 7, then doing a final season of only six episodes. HBO would not confirm the number of episodes order for Season 7 at this time.

Additionally, HBO has ordered more Veep (Season 6) and Silicon Valley (Season 4), both of which will air in 2017.

Oh, just do a final season of 13 episodes and be done with it LOL

  2. hello says:

I kinda assume it will be Season 7 part 1 and 2, that way they don’t have to renegotiate with the cast who aren’t signed on for season 8

  3. Walkie says:

HBO needs to create an end game similar to what AMC did for Breaking Bad. Give it however many episodes the writers need to wrap it up and then announce it.

  4. Kevin K says:

Hope GoT should pull a Sopranos or Breaking Bad or Mad Men to have a season split but who knows if HBO has plans for Season Seven to air just seven episodes instead of ten and six for the eighth and “final” season.

Three of my favorite shows renewed. I can’t complain.
