NAshville Renewed Cancelled

Ratings: Nashville Steady With Best Demo Number Since November

ABC bubble drama Nashville this Wednesday drew 4.12 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating (per finals), ticking up to a 4-week audience high and matching last week’s demo number, its best since Nov. 18.

Opening ABC’s night, The Middle (7 mil/1.7) was steady, The Goldbergs (6.3 mil/1.9) ticked up, and black-ish (5.7 mil/1.6) and Modern Family (7.4 mil/2.2) each dipped a tenth, with the latter hitting series lows.

Elsewhere in the ratings….

FOX | Recently renewed Rosewood (4.5 mil/1.2) was down 15 and 14 percent. Empire (10.1 mil/3.8) slipped 11 and 12 percent to its second-lowest numbers of the season (trailing only its Thanksgiving Eve outing), yet easily dominated the night.

CBS | Survivor (8.4 mil/1.9) was steady, Criminal Minds (8.8 mil/1.7) dipped a tenth and Beyond Borders (7.9 mil/1.5) grew 14 and 25 percent to best-since-premiere numbers.

NBC | A special Voice outing did 8.9 mil and a 1.7, more than doubling Heartbeat‘s most recent performance. Leading out of that, Strong debuted to 3.3 mil/0.9, well below typical SVU/P.D. numbers.

I’m still laughing over last night’s Survivor. I’m not a fan of the sabotage and bullying but Scott and Jason were hilarious at Tribal Council. I gotta give them props for how they handled the two idols. Too funny!!

  2. LT says:

    Just renew NASHVILLE already ABC.

    • wrstlgirl says:

I wouldn’t mind another season but the problem I have with Nashville is some stories haven’t grown at all while others seem to be repeating themselves. But I do enjoy watching it for the most part. Cannot stand Maddie, she gets the ff button :-)

  3. Boiler says:

If Nashville not renewed ABC loses much credibility. It has already renewed shows much less popular.

  4. A says:

    wish tvline recapped Survivor :(

  5. Would like to see the numbers for the Lakers and Warriors games on ESPN and ESPN 2. Most likely why all the other numbers are down.

  6. Jennifer says:

I’m happy that Beyond Borders ticked up. I really like that show!

  7. ABG says:

The fact that a 1.0 is their biggest number since November is pretty sad. On the other hand, they have much bigger problems to fix.

  8. DC says:

    Need more Nashville

  9. Terithecook says:

Sheesh stop the nonsense ABC! Renew Nashville! I lov that show!!!

  10. shar says:

Juliette is back. I love her and Avery.

    • wrstlgirl says:

Me too and I’m gonna hate that they are putting Layla in a stupid triangle with them. Anybody but Layla, ugh.

  11. N says:

    Is Heartbeat cancelled?

  12. Geo says:

I doubt there’d be all this talk of the showrunner change for Nashville if they didn’t intend to renew it. But they really ought to just go ahead and do it.

  13. iHeart says:

well if they do renew Nashville it should be for a 5th and shortened final season, because well I’m getting kind of tired of the drama there, just once I would like to see it end without a major cliff-hanger

  14. Kristen says:

I thought last night’s episode was the best Modern Family of this weaker season. I really enjoyed the Dunphy storyline.

And it was nice of Axel to drive his parents home on The Middle, but it didn’t make much sense since now both of their cars are an hour away.
