Full Frontal With Samantha Bee

Full Frontal With Samantha Bee Extended Through 2016 at TBS

Full Frontal is getting full…er.

TBS has ordered an additional 26 episodes of Samantha Bee‘s late-night talk show, the network announced Monday. This gives the first season a total of 39 episodes, carrying it to the end of 2016.

In response to this huge news, star/executive producer Bee had this to say: “Stay crazy America, I’ll be here all year!”

Brett Weitz, executive vice president of original programming for TBS, was a bit more eloquent: “Sam has positioned herself as an essential voice in late night, and it’s pretty clear she’s struck a nerve and filled a void.”

Full Frontal, which offers a satirical view of the week’s biggest stories — as well as in-depth coverage of topics too-often glossed over by the media — airs Mondays at 10:30/9:30c.

  3. Byron says:

Great news – her show was better by the first episode than daily has been since Jon left.

Most of whatnshe has been doing is a swing and a homerun. Just a few of the things have been a miss but its a new talk show and still working into its groove and i will be there the entire time.

Ps. What has happened to TBS. Never used to watch it, ever. No i love Angie Tribeca and Samantha Bee and The Detour looks pretty funny.

Huzzah! This is fantastic, I love Full Frontal. It’s almost as good as Last Week Tonight and currently trumps the Daily Show, no pun intended.

She needs to step it up. She’s not even close to being as insightful as John Oliver, and her humor meanders like she’s not sure when to be biting, sarcastic, or droll. It’s definitely the right thing to do to extend the show run, but she really needs to sharpen it up, maybe new writers would help. She shouts about breaking up the ‘boy’s club’ but she has to get to their level. If Oliver and Maher are the bar, then she’s got a ways to go.

I love this show and am glad it’s extended thru the scary, scary election. I may need someone like Samantha to talk me down.

YEY! Her show, Larrys and John Oliver’s almost make up for the Daily Show decline.
