Why would the Belz want to go back to SVU after getting fired from there so Warren Leight’s hip young Broadway friends could be the main cast? C’mon dude, you’re better than this.

    • NM says:

Do you have a source for that? Richard is getting older (as was Dann Florek), so I can’t blame them for leaving (choice or not). They’re both well past retirement age. Besides, chances are it came down to budgeting and NBC made that call. Furthermore, Munch was not utilised much past season nine (appearing in only half a season at a time). Chances are he reduced his contract and walked away.

    • MShell says:

Who’s young and hip? I can only think of the guy who plays Carisi. Barba and that other new guy are like 45. Still younger than Belzer, but not exactly “young and hip”.

    • Cait says:

I don’t know whether Belz’s departure was his choice or the show’s, but if you really think one man acting alone unceremoniously fired him solely so that Broadway stars could run around the set together, I have deal on property ownership in the Caribbean you’d be really interested in.

Oh say it isn’t so. I can not stand AnnaLynne McCord, ugh. Way to mess up one of my favorite shows. I’ll just have to block it out somehow, lol!!!

  3. Great to have Belzer back … we need Munch!!! Maybe we can get him back regular!!!

Re: The comments about age. Let’s swing over to Major Crimes where Mary McDonnell is 63, GW Bailey is 71, Tony Dennison is 66, as is Paul Michael Chan.
