Wayward Pines Season 2 Premiere Date

Wayward Pines Season 2 Gets Premiere Date; Terrence Howard Among Encores

Fox has set a premiere date for Season 2 of Wayward Pines, which last summer was the top-rated drama during its run. Additionally, Empire‘s Terrence Howard is now among the Season 1 stars set to reprise their roles.

Premiering Wednesday, May 25 at 8/7c, the 10-episode Season 2 will pick up after the shocking events of Season 1, with the residents of Wayward Pines battling against the iron-fisted rule of the First Generation. Dr. Theo Yedlin (played by The Lost Boys‘ Jason Patric) – a new resident of Wayward Pines – awakens from suspended animation and finds himself in the middle of this rebellion, as he tries to understand what Wayward Pines really is and help preserve the endangered human race.

Joinng Patric and Djimon Hounsou as series regulars will be Season 1’s Hope Davis (American Crime) and Tom Stevens (Cedar Cove), returning as Wayward Pines Academy principal Megan Fisher and First Generation member Jason Higgins, plus Nimrat Kaur (Homeland), Josh Helman (Max Max: Fury Road) and Kacey Rohl (Hannibal) as Theo’s wife Rebecca, Wayward Pines resident Xander and Jason’s lieutenant Kerry, respectively.

As previously reported, Carla Gugino, Melissa Leo and Charlie Tahan will, in a limited capacity, reprise their roles as Kate, Pam and Charlie. Fox has now also confirmed that Howard, Toby Jones (Captain America), Shannyn Sossamon (Sleepy Hollow) and Tim Griffin will also put in appearances, as former sheriff Arnold Pope, David Pilcher, Theresa Burke and Adam Hassler.

Are you now more curious than ever to return to Wayward Pines?

  1. RedReddington says:

So if all these other dead people are coming back, bring back Reed Diamond and Matt Dillon too. Why not? Lol

  2. Spence says:

I really loved Theresa in season one, for some reason. I would hate for them to bring her back just to kill her. Same goes for Pam!

  3. Joey Padron says:

‘Surprised they’re bring back dead characters on show for new season. Glad a premiere date for season 2 have been announced. Can’t wait to see the trailer for new season!

  4. obriensg1 says:

LOVE Kacey Rohl, but I feel like she’s way too young to play the wife of someone Jason Patric’s age

  5. N says:

I hope this is as good as season 1

  6. lostom66 says:

They need to have a blacklivesmatter event to make this show the dumb mess it will become.

  7. Jake says:

They didn’t expect it to be such a hit and made no plans for a second season.
Major actors like Matt Dillon moved on and the options to renew expired so they need to bring in fresh blood and use the actors that were willing to come back

  8. Rosita says:

    Yes..so glad it is returning

  9. Shawnee says:

Sure wish they’d show the last episode of season 1 first… Memory isn’t quite what it used to be…. What were we talking about?? Haha. Can’t hardly wait!!

  10. Yvette Sullivan says:

    Please return

  11. Lisa says:

No. Returning characters do not make me want to watch it. How can the sheriff die ten come back to life??
