David Morrissey The Missing Cast Season 2

Walking Dead Alum David Morrissey Joins The Missing Season 2

The Walking Dead‘s former Governor is going Missing.

David Morrissey will star in the second season of the British anthology series The Missing, Starz announced Thursday.

The new installments will follow Morrissey’s Sam and Gemma (played by British actress Keeley Hawes), whose daughter, Alice, went missing in 2003 but seems to have reappeared 11 years later. The story, told in dual timelines like The Missing‘s first season was, follows Alice’s family and French detective Julien Baptiste (Season 1’s Tchéky Karyo) through the tumultuous disappearance and its aftermath.

The cast also includes Laura Fraser (Breaking Bad). Ben Chanan (The Last Kingdom) will direct the eight-episode season, which will be written by Season 1 scribes Harry and Jack Williams.

In addition to TWD, Morrissey’s recent TV work includes a role in Extant‘s second season.
