The Simpsons Live Episode

TVLine Items: The Simpsons Goes Live, Big Bang Cast on Conan and More

Fox has officially lined up its next live television event — and this one is going to be really animated.

The network announced Tuesday that an upcoming episode of The Simpsons will feature a completely live segment, in which Marge, Lisa and Bart turn the show over to Homer, who will address his fans by commenting on the events of the day.

Fans can tweet their questions to the cartoon patriarch using #HomerLive from Sunday, May 1, until Wednesday, May 4. The live portion — taking place on Sunday, May 15, at 8/7c — will air during both the East and West Coast broadcasts.

Ready for more of today’s newsy nuggets? Well…

* In celebration of The Big Bang Theory‘s 200th episode, the entire cast — including Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch — will appear on Conan on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 11/10c on TBS.

* Fox News announced Tuesday that Ainsley Earhardt will officially replace Elisabeth Hasselback as Fox & Friends co-host alongside Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade. Earhardt has been manning Fox & Friends First — which airs an hour before its mothership series — since 2012.

* Graceland alum Manny Montana has been cast in Conviction, ABC’s legal drama pilot about a woman who is blackmailed into heading up Los Angeles’ newly created Conviction Integrity Unit. Per our sister site Deadline, Montana will play Franklin “Frankie” Rios, who is in charge of Forensics and mixes a street-savvy reserve with his boyish excitement for science.

* Intervention will return for Season 16 on Sunday, March 6, at 10/9c, A&E announced Tuesday.

I am somewhat intrigued by this live portion of the Simpsons, it’s a shame that the season finale of Once will be on at the same time

Also I thought intervention was cancelled
