Awkward 5B Premiere Date

MTV Sets Premiere Date for Awkward's 'Final' Run and Faking It Season 3

MTV junkies only have one more month to wait for their fix of good ol’ teen angst — assuming Teen Wolf hasn’t been doing the trick, of course.

The network on Friday announced the premiere date for Awkward Season 5B — the final run of episodes, assuming the showrunners’ dream of an 11th-hour sixth season doesn’t come to fruition — as well as the third season of Faking It.

Both comedies will return Tuesday, March 15 at 10/9c and 10:30 pm, respectively. (That’s right, people. We’re going back to 10 o’clock!)

Per MTV, here’s what’s in store for Jenna and the gang come March:

The second half of Awkward season 5 kicks off at the beginning of summer, a year after we last saw Jenna and her friends. She returns with a new-found confidence as she starts an exciting summer fellowship at an internet startup. As she reconnects with her high school friends, it’s clear that there has been a lot she has missed. It’s a summer of friends, self-discovery, romance and mystery that will forever impact everyone’s lives.

And here’s what the Hester High gang has on tap:

Season three of Faking It centers around friendship and how complicated and fragile it can be; so easy to break and hard to put back together.  After a summer apart, Karma and Amy struggle to get things back on track.  Shane is caught between friends, while Liam wonders whether he is even capable of having friends.  Meanwhile Lauren struggles with a decision, if friends are worth the effort.

I just want Karma to realize she has feelings for Amy. They’ve held out on making it hapen long enough.

  6. Sarah says:

Lol I want Karma to realize she is bisexual. (From what we have seen) I don’t like how the show is picking sides of straight or lesbian. There are more sexualities than just the two.
I want Karma to come to the realization that she cares for Amy more than friendship, maybe not right away (because of the tension when they last saw each other) but I want her (Karma) to give hints to Amy and then finally express her romantic feelings, maybe through a song that she made with her guitar or if Amy finds a picture thats saved on Karma’s phone of her and Amy kissing on her phone… Idk. Looking forward to see what happens.

You are aware there’s a bixsexual male character on the show right? They’re definitely not picking or just showcasing gay and lesbians.
