Courteney Cox is about to come into some money — whether she likes it or not.
Fox has given an official pilot order to Charity Case, a comedy in which the former Cougar Town star plays Hailey, a billionaire’s widow who inherits his charity and learns that “changing the world is far less glamorous than she had imagined.”
Cox is also executive-producing the single-cam project, alongside writer Robert Padnick and director James Griffiths.
In other Cox-related news, the actress will appear alongside four of her former Friends co-stars — Matthew Perry was tied up elsewhere for the taping — during NBC’s special tribute to director James Burrows on Sunday, Feb. 21 (9/8c).
