Big Bang Theory 200th

Big Bang Theory 200th Ep Welcomes Adam West, Sara Gilbert, 3 More

It all started with a big KAPOW!

The Big Bang Theory has unveiled the guest list for its 200th episode (airing Feb. 25), and it includes a first-ever appearance by Batman icon Adam West, TVLine has learned.

Also set to guest star in the milestone outing are recurring Big Bang players Christine Baranski (Beverly), John Ross Bowie (Barry), Wil Wheaton (as himself) and Sara Gilbert (Leslie).

While Baranski, Bowie and Wheaton have all been steady fixtures on the CBS smash in recent seasons, Gilbert’s physicist character hasn’t been seen since the Season 3 finale, when Leonard showed up at his ex’s door looking for a quickie in the wake of his split from Penny.

    Holy pop culture freakout, Batman!

  3. Philip says:

So basically the only big name is Adam West as all the others are semi regular guests on the program. Good get but still a bit meh! Hope the story is great and moves the story lines further.

  4. abz says:

Can we please get another Christine Baranski/Laurie Metcalf encounter soon?

  5. Tvline fan girl says:

I hope this episode has space for all 7 main players. I’m excited to see the guest stars. But I think this would be a fun “grand adventure”episode.

    • Citygirl says:

Thought the same thing. It would be awful trying to cram all these past characters onto the show in 30 minutes. Actually 22 minutes.

  7. Katie says:

I haven’t been able to watch the past few episodes (life happens!) but between meeting Sheldon’s grandmother in this week’s episode and the 200th episode, I’m thrilled. Casting Adam West is a bit of a coup for TBBT but we get Beverly (Baranski, who is one of my favorite actresses), Barry “Kwipke”, Leslie (Sara Gilbert-welcome back!) and Wil Wheaton? Awesome! Looking forward to it!

  8. TDXI says:

I love Sara Gilberts character I wish they would have her on more.

  9. GraceM says:

No Burt Ward aka Robin? Or even better, have Christine Baranski aka Leonard’s mother show up again and this time, everyone meet her.

  10. Nero tTVFiddler says:

Holy Tipoffs! Wonderful news – Adam West and his version of Batman is iconic.

A favorite Adam West moment as Batman:

He and Robin are driving in the batmobile and chasing a villain, and Batman stops the car and tells Robin to put on his seat belt. He patiently waits for Robin to complete the task as he and the boy wonder chat about the importance of safe driving and ‘buckling up’. Then he starts up the car again and off they go for the chase!

Adam West is the best! Looking forward to this upcoming TBBT episode.

    • Nero tTVFiddler says:

… also a nice sense of timing here bringing Adam West aboard TBBT – Batman the TV series is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – it debuted on ABC on January 12, 1966.

Some nice YouTube tribute videos on the 50th anniversary of the show are online.

  13. sheldonisnolongersheldon says:

This show needs to g away already.

  14. justin says:

I would love to see an episode where Leonard and Penny go to Nebraska and meet Penny’s Family. I have only met her dad, I would like to see her mom and brother as well.

  15. Abel Garcia says:

I am anxious to see Adam West.

  16. Piers says:

I see that Sheldon’s Meemaw is on TBBT tonight. I’m disappointed they cast J Squibb rather than Vickie Lawrence.

  17. eric says:

AM I the only one seeing they said Penny and Lenard split? When is this happening?
