Time Travel Pilot From Shawn Ryan, Eric Kripke Ordered at NBC

Shawn Ryan and Eric Kripke are making Time for NBC. Literally.

The Peacock network has ordered a sci-fi drama pilot from the respective creators of The Shield and Supernatural titled Time that follows an unlikely trio who travel through (wait for it… ) time to battle a brilliant criminal intent on altering the fabric of human history with potentially catastrophic results.

Ryan and Kripke will pen the script and serve as exec producers alongside The Blacklist‘s John David and John Fox, and Marney Hochman (Last Resort).

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

Sounds like Legends of Tomorrow, without the superheroes.

  2. Tony Caruso says:

Already done. It was called Sliders.

  3. Terry says:

Sounds a lot like continuum oh I miss that show

  4. ninamags says:

I look forward to what Kripke can cook up for another show.

  5. Sheryl says:

I love a time travel show. Hope it’s good one.

  6. Hedy S. says:

Just give us a reboot of The Shield, please, Shawn Ryan!

  7. Mr. Tran K says:

Really hope it’s going to get picked up as a series for NBC before the upfronts come May. Quantum Leap was one of my favorite time traveling series.

  8. Drew says:

Kripke is capable of great things, but I don’t know that one of the big networks is the right fit for him. Revolution was a disaster.
    They should revive Quantum Leap.

    • Ally Oop says:

Revolution had a great cast, characters and premise but it was so darn uneven in storytelling. I wish it hadn’t focused on that stupid nanites storyline because the rest of the show was actually quite good.

  9. Melody says:

Sounds sort of like the Time Tunnel from the 60s. As for Revolution, I thought Season one was great but found Season 2 to be absolutely horrible.

  10. Jon loeppky says:

Fantastic, kripke did a fantastic job with supernatural, and almost everything time travel is awesome!!

  11. Ziv says:

Nobody does time travel like The Doctor. Legends might turn out to be fun, but won’t ever have the potential for gravitas that The Doctor has. This new one, with Kripke writing could have the spice of weird to make it interesting.

  12. Vince says:

Sounds like something I’d watch. all the writers mentioned are really good and I watch there shows now

  13. Becky says:

I’m there. I still watch Supernatural and I loved The Shield. I was also a fan of Revolution. Basically, I’ll give anything sci-fi a chance. This sounds good.

  14. pami eve says:

I can’t wait to see it!! Anything Eric Kripke does is the best! I’ll definitely watch it. Hope NBC picks it or they are dumb. Jk
