TVLine Items: Underground Teaser, Riddick TV Series Talk and More

“When we run, ain’t no white man gon’ be able to stop us.”

That’s the only line of dialogue you’ll hear in the teaser trailer for WGN America’s Underground, but it sure is a powerful one.

Slated to premiere in early 2016, the one-hour drama follows a group of slaves who plan a daring escape from a Georgia plantation, aided along the way by a secret abolitionist couple running a station on the Underground Railroad. Christopher Meloni (Law & Order: SVU), Aldis Hodge (Leverage) and Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Friday Night Lights) lead the cast.

Press PLAY below on the 30-second spot, in which a regular day on the plantation quickly turns ominous, then scroll down to view newly released character posters.

Underground could be good. I couldn’t tell by the title, thought it was some type of Keanu Reeve role/show.

  2. Bark Star says:

Merc City ? Why do you have to continue to defile the corpse of the goodness that was PITCH BLACK ? Arent two bad sequeles enough ? End the suffering !
