George R. R. Martin Skin Trade

TVLine Items: George R. R. Martin's New Pilot, Conan Abroad and More

Turns out, A Song of Ice and Fire isn’t the only tune in George R. R. Martin‘s TV repertoire.

Cinemax has optioned the rights to The Skin Trade, Martin’s 1988 “offbeat ‘werewolf noir’ novella,” as he described it on his blog.

The potential drama series will center on collections agent Willie Flambeaux (who also happens to be a werewolf) and his friend, private investigator Randi Wade. Together, the two men discover a dark secret behind a series of grisly murders in their decaying industrial city.

The Game of Thrones scribe will executive-produce the pilot alongside Kalinda Vazquez (Once Upon a Time), who will write the script.

With Under the Dome and Extant canceled, wonder if CBS is planning to bring back The Price is Right Million Dollar Spectacular on prime time possibly in Summer 2016.

  5. Joey says:

“….Kalinda Vazquez (Once Upon a Time), who will write the script.”

If you’re going to grab the absolute worst writer on Once Upon a Time to write the script, you’re asking for it to fail.

  6. kirads09 says:

I am fine with The Skin Trade. But George … please please please finish the Game of Thrones books too. Please. Did I say please?

  7. IMHO says:

I’ll tune in for Skin Trade but my first thought was …
Oh great another distraction for George R R Martin he will never finish the Game of Thrones Book Series.

  8. mike says:

We are never gonna see the last GoT book.

  9. Jane says:

Please, please no one give George R R Martin any more work until he finishes A Song of Ice and Fire. At this point I wish he would just turn it over to someone else to finish since he seems to have lost interest.
