Catherine E. Coulson, Twin Peaks' Iconic Log Lady, Dead at 71

Catherine E. Coulson, who was known for portraying Twin Peaks‘ Log Lady, died of cancer on Monday, our sister site Variety reports. She was 71.

Coulson was set to reprise her Twin Peaks role in Showtime’s upcoming revival. The actress also worked with creator David Lynch as an assistant director on his debut feature Eraserhead.

Coulson’s other acting credits included guest spots on Portlandia and Psych.

Twin Peaks co-star Madchen Amick took to Twitter to express her condolences:

Harley Peyton, a producer on the original series, added:

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!
