Anthony Edwards Blue Bloods

TVLine Items: ER Doc on Blue Bloods, New Supergirl Footage and More

Anthony Edwards is scrubbing in for a new TV role, this time on CBS’ Blue Bloods.

The ER vet will guest-star on a Season 6 episode of the cop drama, Yahoo! TV reports.

Edwards will play Owen Cairo, an impassive man whose life is upended when his prized possession — the 1968 Mustang allegedly driven by Steve McQueen in Bullitt — is stolen.

Since ending his run as ER‘s Dr. Mark Greene, Edwards has appeared on an episode of Girls and the short-lived ABC drama Zero Hour.

Blue Bloods returns Friday, Sept. 25, at 10/9c; Edwards’ episode will air sometime in November.

Didn’t Rupert Murdoch recently purchase National Geographic? Welp, so much for getting anything honest out of them ever again.
