Agent Carter Season 2

Marvel's Agent Carter Season 2 First Look: Who's the (New) Boss?

In the penultimate hour of Marvel’s Agent Carter‘s freshman run, SSR Chief Dooley (played by Shea Whigham) found himself irrevocably strapped by Dr. Ivchenko into a vest created by Howard Stark, a gizmo that would progressively overheat and explode with Dooley in it.

What happened after Dooley pitched his volatile self out the window to protect his SSR colleagues transpired fast and furiously, as Season 1’s final episode unspooled. So there was not a free moment to address the issue of a succession plan.

But when the action picks up this midseason, with the setting moved to Los Angeles, the answer of “Who will be the new SSR chief?” is answered, as seen in the photo tweeted out by Marvel on Thursday. Do you agree with the choice in Dooley’s successor? And have you tweeted Enver Gjokaj your congrats yet?

  1. Brigid says:

Awesome choice! Can’t wait for the new season!!!

  2. Mare says:

I hated him so much. What a cowardly, arrogant, weaselly tool. So no, not happy.

    • Mare says:

Sorry, I meant not happy that Chad Michael Murray’s character is back. Blech.

      • rowan77 says:

They redeemed his character so he wasn’t just a misogynistic weasel by the end of the season. Very happy that Sousa got the top spot, though.

        • Mare says:

Yea, no they didn’t. Did you forget the guy totally took credit for Carter’s heroics? They absolutely did NOT redeem him.

    • Rainy says:

Sousa? How is he anything like you described!? He is sweet and kind. Are you confusing him with Thompson maybe? He is definitely arrogant.

      • Mare says:

Yea, sorry, I was so disgusted seeing CMM’s character back, I didn’t make it clear I wasn’t happy with HIM being back, nothing to do with Sousa being boss.

  3. Rainy says:

Excellent! I love Sousa. I’m glad the gang is staying together for season 2!

  4. Dominique says:

Excellent choice! Sousa is a wonderful character and with him as chief, peggy’s bound to get a more prominent role within the agency without having to be secretive.

  5. Tom says:

    Good for him!

  6. lame says:

Absolutely loved season one and the serialized format. It let the story flow in a completely natural and through manner. Peggy Carter gave new meaning to badass. Fighting clean doesn’t enter her lexicon, funny stuff.

  7. Stacia says:

Asking questions are actually good thing if you are not understanding anything
entirely, except this piece of writing provides good understanding even.
