  1. Sheryl says:

Can’t wait to see John Noble as Sherlock’s dad…perfect casting!

  2. Steven says:

This makes me wish I enjoyed Elementary. Could never get into it but John Noble is an amazing actor and Shohreh has the most amazing voice. I could listen to her read the phonebook.

  3. Wordsmith says:

John Noble and Shohreh Aghdashloo – just listening to them speak to each other will be worth the price of admission.
Definitely two of the most compelling voices in the biz – so much texture and gravitas.

  4. Lizo says:

Oh!! She’ll play beautifully against Nobel. I adore her; could listen to her talk all day long

  5. tahina says:

Saw her on House and loved her acting but her raspy voice and accent makes it for me, and now her and John Noble, I ‘m already tingly!

  6. Okay Dude says:

Why are they hiring Iranians at this sensitive time?

    • Viv says:

It elevates humanity & allows us to hold the face of our better angels.

The imaginary lines and edicts you petulantly draw on the ground with your little stick mean absolutely nothing…

Ms. Aghdashloo’s artistry will continue to inspire and soar long after you & I are gone. And god bless her for it.

      Shh, now… The play begins…

    • Jon says:

Really? Either you are being obscurely snarky or just trollin’. This is exactly when we should be hiring Iranians. We need more familiarity not less.

      • Okay Dude says:

Are you not familiar with the definition of an embargo?
We’re meant to boycott all their goods and services, and an actor IS a providing a service.
its just to pressure them into giving up their nuclear capabilities

  7. niloofar says:

I’m Iranian & She is a great actress, also she’s been an american citizen for decades.

  8. Janet says:

    So excited for Season 4!

  9. Synia says:

Somehow I had missed this news AND the fact that John Noble is going to portray Sherlock’s father! I love him and couldn’t be happier about this perfect casting. Also very much looking forward to seeing Aghdashloo, she’s awesome in every role.
