Leading out of the well-watched America’s Got Talent, NBC’s Mr. Robinson on Wednesday debuted to 4.6 million total viewers and a 1.2 demo rating, ranking as broadcast’s most watched summer comedy debut since 2007 (CBS’ Creature Comforts) and the No. 2-rated since 2009 (trailing only Undateable).
The series’ second half-hour however slipped to 3.8 mil and a 1.0. TVLine readers gave the comedy an average grade of “C-.”
AGT opened the Peacock’s line-up with 6.9 mil/1.4, slipping two tenths week-to-week but drawing the night’s largest audience. With a weaker lead-in, Last Comic Standing (3.7 mil/1.4) at 10 pm slipped 19 percent in audience and a tenth in the demo.
CBS | Big Brother (6.6 mil/2.1) rose 16 and 17 percent versus last Wednesday, while Extant‘s double pump averaged 4.8 mil/0.8, steady week-to-week.
THE CW | Top Model opened Cycle 22 with 1.2 mil and a 0.4, matching its year-ago debut (on a Monday). A Wicked Offer, which apparently is something that aired, debuted to 720K/0.3.
FOX | MasterChef (4.8 mil/1.4) and Home Free (2.9 mil/0.8) each dipped a tenth.
ABC | Celeb Wife Swap (3 mil/0.8) was flat.
