Fall TV Preview

Empire Season 2 Cast Shots: Lucious Gets the Blues (as Does Porsha's Hair!)

Empire may have 1,374 guest stars climbing aboard this fall, but fret not: It’s the show’s nine series-regular characters who get all the attention in the Fox drama’s first official Season 2 photos.

The mood is mostly subdued, as eight of the show’s stars are completely clad in black. The sole exception, Terrence Howard’s Lucious Lyon, eschews the orange prison jumpsuit he rocked in the Season 1 finale in favor of cool, cool blue.

Actually, “subdued” probably isn’t the right adjective for Ta’Rhonda Jones’ Porsha, either, not with those turquoise streaks in her hair or the outré jewelry, either. (Methinks she’d better be careful, hogging all the accessories from boss lady Cookie, no?)

Check out the images below — or click here for direct access — then share your thoughts on Empire‘s initial sophomore look.

Comments are monitored, so don’t go off topic, don’t frakkin’ curse and don’t bore us with how much your coworker’s sister-in-law makes per hour. Talk smart about TV!

STOP with all the commercials! I quit coming to this site as much due to all the commercials and pop-ups and now you have them on every pic in the launch gallery. JUST SAD!

But how else would you find out its French toast time at ihop?
Also I got free chipotle from one of the ads so that’s a plus

Absolutely agree. Every two stories on the main page – AD – which are so data-heavy they take forever to load and scroll over. Then, three windows of ads to get to the comments section, not to mention the banners that CANNOT BE GOTTEN RID OF over POSTER DEBUTS – or, as in this case, new cast photos.
TVLine used to be a lovely user experience, but this is out of control. Please scale back before I get tired of trying.

They all look great. I wonder if they are in character. If they are, it’s odd not seeing Andre in a suit.
