Unauthorized Full House Story: First Clip Pits 'Stamos' Against the Twins

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen might have immediately captured America’s hearts, but according to Lifetime’s Unauthorized Full House Story, it took their co-stars a little longer to warm up to them.

In the first official clip from the movie — premiering Aug. 22 at 8/7c — viewers are dropped in the middle of a rehearsal, which quickly leads to a tense discussion triggered by John Stamos (played by Days of Our LivesJustin Gaston).

“Hey man, look, we love the twins, but is there any way you could find babies who are a little more comfortable on stage?” he asks. “It’s taking forever to get through one kids scene with no audience. How do you expect to get through an entire season?”

But don’t worry; the tension is quickly diffused — or, rather, transferred — by Bob Saget (played by Garrett Brawith), who makes a super-awkward stripper joke to one of his on-screen daughters.

Why is everyone trying to ruin everything that was good about my childhood?

  2. Belle says:

Can’t wait for this train wreck!!!

  3. MeJ says:

Wait, why is the set completely different?

    • Jennifer says:

that was my first thought. It’s almost like it’s backwards. Ugh. don’t know if I’ll turn in.

    • Lynne says:

The set is different because this is an UNauthorized story, meaning no one involved with the show has involvement in this, so because of that, the people doing this mess had to change things about the show to avoid copyright lawsuits. The set wont be the only thing different. As we see here, they’re filming a scene about Joey sleepwalking, which never happened either. This is all to avoid copyright issues with Jeff Franklin, Miller-Boyett and ABC. They did the same thing with SBTB. Only thing that will be familiar will be character names.

    • Jack says:

Because this is all unauthorized, so for legal reasons, they could not make it look the same.

      Thats my guess, anyway.

Okay, I admit….that Bob Saget thing was spot on and hilarious

  5. Kristy says:

At least it can’t be any worse than the Save By The Bell movie last year, HA!

  6. lorna says:

Little did he know that she would instead turn to meth…

  7. Ron says:

And now those stinky diaper wearing twins are pretty much worth more than all of them combined…..

  8. I am not getting any sound from this video except for the overly loud laugh track. Nothing at all from the actors.

    • Patty says:

If you’re listening on headphones, put on both headphones. I initially put one on in one ear and heard the same thing you did. When I put on both, then I was able to hear the dialogue.

  9. Kay says:

    That was embarrassing and stupid.

  10. Grey's Fan says:

Am I the only one who hated Michelle? Like kill her off in a plane crash, dragged by a bus, hit by a semi truck kind of hatred that would’ve had me dancing in the living room.

    • Belle says:

I know, Michelle had lost her memory in a horse riding accident in the last couple episodes, was hoping it would ‘stick’, but of course she got her memories back before the end of the series. Still plan to at least DVR this to skip through it if need be.

    • Cas says:

      She was the worst!

    • Marissa says:

I liked her for about the first 3-4 years, when she was still cute…. but by the end of the show she had become too bratty for me to enjoy her scenes 90% of the time. I hated the way the whole finale centered around everyone catering to her – as usual.

  11. GraceM says:

Can’t watch the video it’s “temporarily unavailable”.

  12. NP says:

God they can’t even get the set right!

  13. Jared says:

This looks so bad but not even in a good way. Ill pass and just wait for Fuller House,

  14. Kitty says:

I’ll watch it, but I won’t like it.

  15. Video says:

    interesting video to watch.
