Fall TV Preview
Jill Hennessy Madam Secretary

Madam Secretary Adds Jill Hennessy

Jill Hennessy is returning to CBS’ Sunday lineup this fall, but not on The Good Wife.

The Crossing Jordan alum is joining the cast of Madam Secretary in the recurring role of Jane Fellows, Henry’s (Tim Daly) new Defense Intelligence Agency handler who is a commanding, yet discreet political operator known for keeping cool in a crisis, and who may not always see eye-to-eye with Henry.

In addition to her three-episode arc in Season 5 of The Good Wife, Hennessy’s recent credits include HBO’s Luck and the French police procedural Jo. Look for  Hennessy to debut in Madam Secretary‘s Season 2 premiere in Sunday, Oct 4 at 8/7c.

I love this casting news!! But when is Stephanie March going to be on The Good Wife or Madam Secretary? That’s the burning question. She was made for roles on these shows.

    • Guest says:

Stephanie March will appear if Bobby Flay has a guest spot. She will proceed to burn the entire set down.

I enjoy Jill’s work during the heydays of L&O and of course her amazing run on Crossing Jordan. Can’t wait to see her new gig on Madam Secretary.

I miss Crossing Jordan. Such a fun show. I hope Jill gets another full time gig soon.

My guess is she has not wanted the work of a full time show due to family issues… I liked her in the ill-fated LUCK as the vet..

that’s very refreshing news! We hope Jill will make a comeback. We, her fans are waiting for this.

  8. Lois says:

Jill and Angie Harmon could be sisters or at least cousins, I like them both, and really miss Crossing Jordan.

    • Betty A. Roberts says:

Would love to see Jill and Angie together in a cutting edge TV series. Think they are both under cast in their present roles. They could really bounce satire off one another.
