Wayward Pines Video: Has the First Generation Suffered a Tragic Loss?

This Thursday on Wayward Pines (Fox, 9/8c) — in the thriller’s antepenultimate episode, titled “The Friendliest Place on Earth” — Ethan fears for the worst in the wake on an explosive twist.

As revisited in the behind-the-scenes featurette above, Ben Burke (played by Charlie Tahan) was the unwitting victim of a bomb crafted by resistance member Harold (Reed Diamond) but intended to detonate at the fence line.

Instead, Ben was felled and found bloody and unconscious after being blasted out of the delivery truck where he and girlfriend Amy (Sarah Jeffery) were… growing closer. In the frantic aftermath, the video shows, Ethan (Matt Dillon) is unsure whom he can trust to tend to his son, who of course is the newest addition to the future town’s First Generation.

  1. Sara says:

Any news on if there will be a season 2 of Wayward Pines? Or are they still going to stick to the mini series/1 season only?

    • Paul says:

I did read there would be another season but hinted it would be a completely new cast, as this series was filmed so long ago and took some time to be broadcast. Take a look on google…

  2. Emor says:

So if this was an episode of Friends this would be “The One before the One before the Final” :-)

  3. Mocha Sunshine says:

I have really enjoyed the show so far and hope for a second season; however, there are still so many stones that are unturned. Just to name a few:

the bomb was built to break down the wall but couldn’t kill two small frame teenagers
the last man to get a house has many answers but he hasn’t been on the show since
Ben hasn’t talked to his parents about anything and he should be telling them everything– they are in a strange town and only have each other
what happens to the newly born babies in the hospital — why do they want babies so badly
Ethan got manipulated too easily .. he was on a roll until he ran into whatever the doctor calls himself
why didn’t Kate fill Theresa in on the bombings Kate would have been all for it because she has plot 33 under suspicion.
I am so glued to the TV on Thursdays like a rat love cheese .. What do you think?

  4. Mocha Sunshine says:

Sorry for the typo….I mean Theresa … She would have wanted to know about the bombings … maybe they could use a bomb on plot 33.
