Rush Hour Pilot Scoop: Justin Hires to Co-Star Opposite Jon Foo

Rush Hour Pilot Cast

CBS’ Rush Hour pilot, based on Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan’s New Line Cinema film franchise, has finally locked in its leading duo.

Justin Hires (Key and Peele) will play Carter, an “irreverent and wildly confident” LAPD detective whose “unorthodox methods” often land him in trouble with his higher-ups. He joins Jon Foo (Batman Begins), recently cast as Carter’s Hong Kong-born partner Lee.

Additional series regulars include Aimee Garcia (Dexter) as Carter’s former partner Didi, and Jessika Van (The Messengers) as Lee’s younger sister Kim.

Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick penned the script, and will executive-produce alongside Arthur Sarkissian, Brett Ratner, Jeff Ingold and director Jon Turteltaub.

Don’t know much about these two young up-and-coming actors. Hate to wonder if the TV version of Rush Hour is going to get picked up as a series for CBS.

  2. Dean says:

There are just some tv shows that should not be made. One based on the only decent films chris tucker ever did is one of them.

  3. prish says:

I love the movie series, and this pairing looks good. I’ll check it out, for sure. Finally, something fun.

  4. Bill says:

Loved the movie series and if this is done right it will be a great premise for a TV show. Just what CBS needs.,,nothing else like it on TV.
