Lauren Graham Lands Odd Couple Gig as Matthew Perry's Ex-Wife

Lauren Graham is going from Parenthood to Couple-dom.

The actress, whose NBC drama is in the midst of its final, 13-episode season, has landed a guest-starring role on CBS’ upcoming reboot of The Odd Couple, where she’ll play the ex-wife of Matthew Perry’s Oscar, TVLine has confirmed.

Despite the fact that the union between Oscar and Graham’s character, Gaby, was a stormy, the couple will nevertheless exhibit warm chemistry as divorcées.

The Odd Couple, which is set to bow at midseason, finds Perry starring opposite Reno 911!’s Thomas Lennon (Felix). The cast also includes Yvette Nicole Brown (Community), Wendell Pierce (The Michael J. Fox Show, Treme) and Lindsay Sloane (Weeds).

Excited to see Graham opposite Perry — again? (She previously guested on his series Go On and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, after all.) Sound off in the comments!

  2. Lori Goodson says:

Love Lauren Graham and Matthew Perry together!! Can’t wait. Besides the Good Wife and Amazing Race, it will be the only other show I’ll watch on CBS!

I’ll definitely check this out now

I’m normally in the “Boo! Reboots suck!” camp, but…this cast is all kinds of awesome and I’m looking forward to it.

  5. ll0yd_d0bler says:

perry / graham had a pretty amusing scene in studio 60 on the sunset strip. hopefully this show can expand on that chemistry.

  6. Lulu says:

I loved their chemistry on Studio 60 and I know they have done a few other things together. Looking forward to this one.

    • HAP says:

Seriously? She had a small, uncredited role in two episodes.

      • Sarah says:

…And the two of them were delightful together in that short space of time.

        • S. says:

Exactly. There was banter. I miss Studio 60–well, what I kept wanting it to be and what Matthew Perry and Steven Weber brought to the show especially. They were both robbed of Emmy noms. It’s kinda weird that Matthew’s never gotten a drama Emmy since he actually does it so well. Studio 60 was actually some stellar work from him.

  10. Akri says:

Awesome sauce! Love them 2! 👍👏😄

  11. Kristina says:

    Nice! Sounds good!

  12. christina says:

Yay! I love them both and I love the work they’ve done together. Cannot wait to see them reunited again on The Odd Couple!

  13. Tracy says:

Bad choice! I love Matthew Perry but when he was on Studio 60 (one of the all time great shows that too few people watched!) Lauren Graham guest starred and the chemistry was just not there!
