Bones Baby Scoop: Facts of Life Vet to Deliver Sweets and Daisy's Son

Bones Season 10 Mindy Cohn

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have… the sure-to-be bittersweet birth of Daisy and Sweets’ son.

Enter Mindy Cohn.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Bones has enlisted the Facts of Life vet to inject some lightness and levity into single-mom Daisy’s delivery as her New Age-focused doula.

The character, Valentina, is into crystals, vibes, and spiritual energy and is adamant that childbirth must be a peaceful and non-traumatic process. She dims the birthing room lights and pipes in bird sounds while Daisy’s in labor because a “peaceful mother makes a happy baby.”

Look for Cohn’s Valentina to bring Daisy and Sweets’ lil’ guy into the world in an early-December episode, titled “The Puzzler In The Pit.”

In the meantime, Sweets’ ex Jessica (Laura Spencer), resurfaces in this Thursday’s episode — and finds herself smack dab in the middle of a little Booth-Brennan work fight. Exclusive video below!

  1. Tran says:

Great to see Mindy Cohn back on TV in a very long time since her Facts of Life days.

  2. a says:

hoping for a sweet “god father” Booth & Daisy bonding scene over the babys name & Sweets not being there.

  3. Luis says:

They couldn’t have made Cyndi Lauper’s characer a midwife as well?

  4. Whatever says:

Oh damn. The one episode I planned to check out (since yea, still bitter). Guess I should have expected it at this point though. “Well, my baby’s father was beaten to death in a parking garage a few months ago and I’m all alone having his baby but hey! Let’s have some laughs and hijinks!” With any luck, there will be at least a nice Booth/Baby Sweets moment to catch somewhere.

    • anon says:

Daisy wanted to be a doula for Brennan when she was pregnant about to give birth…of course Brennan wanted nothing to do with that…..but it is certainly something I could see Daisy wanting to happen with the birth of her child with or without Sweets in her life, if handled right, it could be a beautiful and touching scene. IMO

      • they call her a doula here but doulas don’t catch the baby…just support to mom and dad. It gives doulas a bad rep! i love this show but they took the hippie vibe way too far…as an aspiring doula this offends me!

      Actually, he was shot. :-)

  5. Can we just not have Laura Spencer’s character? She’s obnoxious. She’s like a more obnoxious version of Daisy and should have been fired in the first episode.

  6. Tammy says:

Sweets ex is always into love trouble. She is playing as Raj gf on the Big Bang Theory and had a fight with Penny. I don’t particularly like her.

  7. Kathy says:

Good to see her back I am sure she will great can not wait

  8. Lois says:

Jessica is much more annoying than Daisy…..which is difficult to do!! Fire her – don’t like her attitude. She has zero respect for Brennan.
    Yeah to Mindy Cohn

  9. Jan says:

Have watched it since beginning but no more.

  10. B says:

I hate that Sweets died but I’m not going to stop watching the show. I’ll miss Sweets but this isn’t out of character for Daisy
