Powers follows two detectives, Christian Walker (Copley) and Deena Pilgrim (The Following‘s Susan Heyward), who are tasked with investigating homicide cases involving people with superpowers.

The charismatic Walker once possessed super powers, but lost them in a battle with a super-human mass killer. He now uses his singular expertise to investigate crimes in the Powers community.

Michelle Forbes Retro GirlForbes’ Retro Girl, meanwhile, is the undisputed super star of the Powers community. An icon of justice, selflessness, and business acumen, her willingness to put herself at risk for the good of others is matched only by her ability to manage her globe-spanning personal brand. (Forbes will juggle Powers with her co-starring role in A&E’s upcoming adaptation of The Returned.)

  1. DL says:

I wasn’t sure about this show, but with Michelle Forbes on board, I’m sold. I’m also super stoked to see her playing such a heroic character after her many dark roles. Excited about Copley too, but yeah, Michelle Forbes, I’ll follow her anywhere.

  2. Please tell me Michelle will also be juggling “Orphan Black” as well?

  3. wordsmith says:

This is a VERY different cast from the original group back when the show was at FX, but I like it. Lots of really interesting character actors.

  4. DGM says:

If you’ve read the comics, you know how much of Michelle Forbes you’ll see in the show. I don’t think there will be a problem juggling her roles :)

  5. Fido says:

makes me want to give The Middleman a rewatch :)

  6. DavidSask says:

Sony Playstation Network? Please explain how this works for those who don’t have consoles; Didn’t the X Box cancel their TV plans minus one show already made?

  7. Day says:

Um. No. I like Copley just fine, but he doesn’t look one whit like Christian Walker. Same with Michelle Forbes, and not just because she’s not blonde. Part of the dynamic between these two partners is he’s a giant, and she’s tiny.
