The Red Tent LifetimeLifetime is going Old Testament on us.

The cable net is adapting Anita Diamant’s 1997 Bible-inspired novel The Red Tent into a two-night miniseries starring Morena Baccarin (Homeland), Minnie Driver (About a Boy) and Debra Winger (Terms of Endearment).

The mini tells the story of Dinah (played by The White Queen‘s Rebecca Ferguson), the daughter of Leah and Jacob, who is only briefly referenced in the Old Testament.

The cast also includes Iain Glen (Game of Thrones) and Will Tudor (Game of Thrones).

* Good Morning America has unveiled its 2014 Summer Concert Series lineup, which kicks off May 23 with Lady Antebellum. The schedule includes Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, Jason Derulo, Kings of Leon, Paramore, Demi Lovato, Robin Thicke, Florida Georgia Line and DJ/producers Zedd and Afrojack.

* Actress/singer Zendaya (Shake It Up) will star in the new Disney Channel family comedy K.C. Undercover, premiering in early 2015, TV Guide Magazine reports. Zendaya will play K.C. Cooper, a high school student training to follow in her parents’ footsteps as an undercover spy.

* Showtime’s documentary series Years of Living Dangerously will move to Monday nights at 8/7c beginning May 12.

    One thing relevant that is missing in the Red Tent is that these people are people of color, not Europeans, but Africans. No one from the region and era could have been Caucasian. These shows should be produced with more realistic characters.

  3. The Red Tent – Rebecca Ferguson was magnificent – Both the movie and the actress deserve awards!!!!!!!!!
