In the satirical look at police procedurals, Jones stars as Angie Tribeca, a 10-year veteran of the LAPD’s Really Heinous Crimes Unit (RHCU) who is not thrilled when her boss (Justified‘s Jere Burns) tells her she has to work with a partner (guest star Hayes MacArthur, Go On). The pilot features appearances by Alfred Molina (Monday Mornings), Lisa Kudrow (The Comeback), Gary Cole (The Good Wife), Nancy Carell (The Office) and Matthew Glave (Growing Up Fisher).

Carell, of course, starred on The Office, on which Jones also appeared as Karen Filippelli. He directed and co-wrote the Tribeca pilot with his actress-wife Nancy Carell (aka Michael Scott’s girlfriend Carol Stills).

TBS also granted series orders to Buzzy’s — a workplace sitcom from Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick that stars Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), George Wendt (Cheers) and Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black) and follows a group of old high school pals who now work at a Charlestown, Mass. barbershop — and the multi-generational comedy Your Family or Mine, which is adapted from an Israeli series and counts Richard Dreyfuss and JoBeth Williams among its cast.
