Jim Rash will appear in tomorrow’s episode as the head of Fox (pictured to the right) who goes to see Rachel in Funny Girl. And as you might be able to infer from TVLine’s season finale scoop, he’ll be leading Ms. Berry down a potentially slippery slope.

* Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately) is close to signing a deal with Netflix, the New York Post is reporting, though the format of her new show is still “to be decided.” Handler recently confirmed that she plans to leave E! when her contract expires in 2014.

* Though a premiere date for the six-episode return of Lisa Kudrow’s HBO comedy The Comeback won’t be announced for some time, E! Online is reporting that production will begin May 19.

Saturday Night Live staff writer Michael Che is joining The Daily Show as a new correspondent, our sister site Deadline reports. His new gig will begin in June, once SNL‘s current season has wrapped.

* Joel Johnstone (The Newsroom) has joined the cast of ABC’s drama series Astronaut Wives, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Johnstone will play Gus Grissom, an unlikely engineer who becomes the first man to go into space twice.
