The True Blood actor has nabbed the lead in Amazon’s drama pilot Cocked, per The Hollywood Reporter.

The project — from Samuel Baum (Lie to Me) and Sam Shaw (Manhattan) — follows an estranged son (Trammell) who must return to work with his father and brother at his family’s gun manufacturing company after a corporate rival, run by their uncle, tries to take them over.

The final season of True Blood debuts this June.

    It looks like someone had the brilliant idea of taking J. Michael Straczynski’s series Crusade and set on Earth instead of in space.

      You forget, Crusade was on TNT. They’re the ones that ruined it. What makes you think the network won’t try to put it’s grubby mitts on this show?

    Amazon is on a roll with their dramas. I can’t wait to see more of Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle, and am curious to see more of Bosch and The After. They have several new dramas in the works that sound more interesting than what the networks have to offer.
