Pilot Scoop: Homeland Alum Joins ABC's Selfie

David Harewood SelfieDavid Harewood can start picturing himself in Selfie — the Homeland alum just landed a role in the ABC comedy pilot.

Penned by Suburgatory creator Emily Kapnek, the single-camera project follows Eliza Dooley (Doctor Who‘s Karen Gillan), a self-obsessed twentysomething who is more concerned with “likes” than being liked. After suffering a very public, very humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media “followers” than she ever imagined… but for all the wrong reasons. Eliza then enlists the help of a marketing expert at her company to help repair her tarnished image.

Ugh this sounds horrible. Awful title too. I’m embarressed for this guy, this is the best post-homeland gig he could get? I rememeber when he was first killed off he gave an interview about how homeland was the best “two year resume” he could ask for and all the offers he was getting. And then….Selfie.

I give this bomb 2 episode. Yikes it sounds bad. Some suits just decided they had to do a show based on social media, and the hot thing of the moment. Pass!

  3. The Beach says:

I’ve never been a fan of this man’s acting (more like overacting).
