First gay character? Well there goes the Enzo and Damon homo-eroticism.

    • wrstlgirl says:

Yeah, I was thinking that would be pretty damn hot :-)

    • Hannah says:

I hate how they pronounce his name “Endzo” when it should be “Entso”. If you don’t bother saying it correctly just stick to the English names.

    • Hannah says:

Remember Jeremy and Tyler in season 1? They Chickened out before.

      • AGB says:

Never thought about that before, but going back, it could’ve made sense back then.

        • aw says:

this is intersting, I never saw it that way – this could have been so great.

I’m getting the feeling, CW is “gaying it up” a bit this season – Roman’s sister on “star-crossed” is gay, “the Orignals” has one gay dude who they haven’t killed off yet… Well, better late than never!

Or was I just not watching the right CW-shows? Someone else I am missing? I don’t watch “Arrow” or “Reign” – someone gay over there?

    • Josh says:

Considering it’s been on five seasons, I’m shocked. But given it’s backwards view on women, also not.

  2. Stefan says:

So Enzo is not gay? Bummer ;)

  3. Jason says:

Oh! We can have a new TVD & Originals crossover! Luke & Josh can start dating!!

  4. Steven says:

First ever gay character? What about Caroline’s dad?

  5. Andrew Hass says:

I think it’s good that The Vampire Diaries is introducing a gay character.I can’t wait to see what the show has planned for him because i don’t want it to turn out that they are bringing him on just to get publicity or something.

  6. rarefied says:

Caroline’s father was gay so this isn’t the first gay character on the show.

  7. Linda says:

It states “first-ever teen gay character” people.

  8. Fernanda says:

gay or not every new character would going to die eventually. It will be a surprise If Matt comes out of the closet

  9. Kaycee says:

Love Heather Hemmens, I’ve missed her! Hope it’s a big role.

  10. Lena says:

Yes! Enzo is staying around long enough for us to see Maggie. Great news. I guess Damon won’t make Enzo is meal plan.

  11. Justin says:

Does it really matter? This character will be dead within three to five episodes. No new character lasts for long on this horrible show.

  12. Marquise says:

Well I hope the best for him, he might have a chance on account of the gay character on “The Originals” is still alive with little to no screen time, but alive nonetheless, let’s just hope this cutie keeps his heart in his chest or his neck in one piece, and it’ll be pretty boring with him having no live interest ..

  13. AGB says:

I find myself bored with TVD. This season has been a bore. Originals has been better this season.

That said, it’s cool that they’re introducing a gay character. I always thought they could have done so much more with Caroline’s dad, they killed him so soon.

  14. Jon says:

I hope this character is integrated well with the core cast. Not like the April Young character that was a complete surprise to the viewers; while the cast pretended she was there all along. Where is she now? Don’t miss her one bit.
On the other hand, love interest for Enzo? That’s great. means he’ll be sticking around for a while.

  15. Will says:

He’s purdy.. I may just have to start watching!

  16. Cyrax86 says:

TVGuide link in The Goldbergs item points to a TVLine article. :)

  17. AnnieM says:

Marilu Henner? Aww, crap. I was really, really hoping they’d be able to get Pam Dawber to play her mom as SMG said she wanted. Was hoping for a Mork & Mindy reunion. ::sigh::

  18. CAROL says:

Gay character – WILL LOSE THOUSANDS OF VIEWERS. SICK SICK SICK

  19. whatever says:

What the hell! Why does EVERY tv show have to have a freakin gay person now or considering having a gay person! So fine, your gay, you want to marry, you sue people/businesses for not catering to your needs but do you have to shove this gay crap down our throats and put them on all shows? Confusing growing kids and teens? Making them wonder what type o relationship to have? Question their sexuality? This is bull crap and needs to stop. Live YOUR lives privately and stop pushing this subject, eventually it will backfire if you keep it up!
