Under the Dome Eddie CahillEddie Cahill is returning to the CBS family, but he’ll have to go Under the Dome to do it.

The former CSI: New York star has been cast in a series regular role as the “reclusive” EMT brother-in-law of Dean Norris’s Big Jim, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Cahill’s character Sam will reportedly form a bond with Rachelle Lefevre’s Julia, and it’s worth noting that a recent installment of Ask Ausiello described him as “the crazy drunk who lives alone in the woods.”

  • Am I such a CSI NY nerd that I know Rachelle is a past CSI NY co-star (his date in one ep)?

  • I remember him as Tag from Friends. One of the best love interests on that show.

    • Yup. I feel like he’s missing a whole lot of hair in that pic.

    • In this case he has been living alone in the woods, just like the article says.

    • Exactly. It will strain credibility when suddenly there are ‘new’ faces under the dome. Same way Lost tried (and failed) to introduce Nikki and Paulo to the show. Silly.

  • I find it impossible to believe that Karla Crome will be playing a person in their 30s. Maybe 20s but 30s just ages her. Anyway can’t wait for the new season to start up.

  • It’s funny – I forgot all about this show, like a lot of shows with such short seasons. If it gets cancelled – meh, if it gets renewed – meh.
That’s not the case for top-notch short series like Sherlock or GOT, or Rizzoli and Isles, Perception, True Blood, but most of the others – meh.
