  • Sounds interesting! Now, what about the Scream pilot? Has there been any movement there?

  • Why couldn’t they just cast her actual twin sister, Megan Prescott. This other actress doesn’t even remotely resemble her. Even if they were fraternal twins.

    • I’m sad they’re not using Megan as her too. But I’m excited for the series because Kathryn was one of the best parts of the 3rd and 4th series of Skins.

  • Wait…She has a twin sister in the show but they didnt actually cast her real twin sister who is also actor in that role? Or would that be to much like Skins? Weird

  • I don’t get it. She was kidnapped as a child by Lori, then finds out. Does she move in with her real family? And why is she going on a search for the woman who had kidnapped her?

    • That is the premise of the show, that she has to go live with her real family, people that are complete strangers to her. The description of the relationship with Lori “perfect life with a fun-loving single mom” means she is probably torn between knowing that Lori did a horrible thing and her love for the woman she has know as her mother.

Another interesting part of the show not listed in the above description. Alexis Denisof’s character is a writer/novelist and he wrote a best seller about the abduction of his daughter but has never had success writing anything else.

      • I’m surprised he found time to write one book, what with the slayer-training and evil-fighting.

  • Sold because of Alexis!

  • WESLEY! But seriously this sounds really interesting. MTV has had a pretty good slate of shows recently. I’ll give this a try.

  • Sounds quite similar to Switched at Birth

  • The actress has a twin sister. Why would they then cast someone who isn’t her twin to play the role of her twin?! Mind boggling…

Comment by Brock – January 30, 2014 02:26 PM PDT  Reply To This Post
    • They are not identical twins on the show. Seems like the premise of the show is where do I belong, with my birth parents who the girl does not know or the woman who stole her, who she views as her mother. If the sister was identical than there would be a visual component that tells the audience, yes she belongs here in this house with this family.

  • Will watch because of Kathryn Prescott. She was so good in Skins Gen 2 as Emily Fitch. (Naomily is STILL one of TV’s most iconic couples.)

  • Sounds worth checking out. MTV’s programming reminds me of The CW.

  • A show with a Skins alum and a Whedonverse alumn? Hell yes!!!!

  • Alexis Denisof! The Prescott twins are already fraternal not identical twins, why wouldn’t you hire her sister as well?

  • If there is no Eye Candy I won’t be watching MTV anymore.I think Victoria Justice is an amazing actress and I remember watching her on Victorious and Zoey 101.She is underrated and being on MTV will make people realize the talent she really has.

    • “Eye candy”? Huh? First, I’d say that is an entirely subjective measure of anything. Second, it kinda sucks that you’re a woman perpetuating stereotypes that women in TV/film have to attain your subjective (and unrealistic) idea of beauty to be worth watching. Third, you not must be familiar with Kat Prescott. Fourth…nah, done.
