Big Bang executive producers Bill Prady and Steve Molaro told TVLine on the Golden Globes red carpet that both James Earl Jones (aka the voice of Darth Vader) and Carrie “Princess Leia” Fisher will guest-star as themselves in an upcoming episode, crossing paths with Sheldon.

Is having Spock’s DNA on a napkin about to be superseded in awesomeness?

      • You have to wonder if Sheldon will mention it in the episode. It would be funny if Jones is asked by some other person to say the line, he does it right, the fan tries to correct Jones, Sheldon steps in, and it ends with Jones hugging Sheldon.

    • Yep, he said Vader: OB1 never told you…. Luke: he told me enough, he told me you killed him. Vader: No, I am your father. Good call Riana.

      • OB1? I believe his name was Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Darth Vader: Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father.
Luke Skywalker: He told me enough! He told me you killed him!
Darth Vader: No. I am your father.
Luke Skywalker: No… that’s not true! That’s impossible!

  • Part of the storyline in this epsisode is Jones trying to get Carrie Fisher to help him honor Sheldon’s tweets.

  • Dumb stunt casting

    • That’s not really what stunt casting means if they’re just playing themselves as seems to be the case here. Stunt Casting is more like ‘And Tom Hanks as Waiter #2!’ Essentially big name actors playing small roles. Lee Daniels’ The Butler was full of this since the presidents in the film were quite minor but they decided to have them all played by recognizable actors.
