What to Watch Tonight: Babs' Fascinating People, Kathy Griffin's Record, Mob City Finale and More

barbara-walters-fascinating-people-2013On TV this Wednesday: Barbara Walters presents those she finds Fascinating, Mob City‘s last gamble, The X Factor’s Top 3 compete one last time and Cloris Leachman pays Kirstie a surprise visit. Here are 10 programs to keep on your radar.

8 pm The X Factor (Fox) | The Top 3 take the stage one last time in hopes of winning the competition.

8 pm A Home for the Holidays with Celine Dion (CBS) | The Grammy winner will perform alongside Ne-Yo, Chris Young and others, while sharing inspirational stories about children adopted from foster care. (No word on whether this will be more or less moving than Sarah McLachlan’s ASPCA commercials.)

8 pm Kathy Griffin: Record Breaker (Bravo) | In her Guiness world record-setting 20th televised special, the comic performs from the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio.

8 pm The Sing-Off (NBC) | The remaining six groups perform songs from box office hits… and “My Heart Will Go On” seems inevitable.

8 pm The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2013 (CW) | Miley Cyrus, Pitbull, Macklemore, Fall Out Boy and more perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

9 pm Mob City (TNT) | Two-hour season finale: Bugsy Siegel’s trial approaches, and a violent massacre wrecks Captain Parker’s plans. (Not yet renewed.)

9:30 pm Barbara Walters Presents the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013 (ABC) | The Hunger Games’ Jennifer Lawrence, the Duck Dynasty cast, Miley Cyrus (of course) and more chat with the venerable newswoman about their lives and careers.

10 pm Kirstie (TV Land) | Arlo surprises Maddie with a gift she can’t return: her estranged mother Shirley (played by TV vet Cloris Leachman).

10 pm Michael Buble’s 3rd Annual Christmas Special (NBC) | The crooner returns alongside guest stars Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and — my personal favorite — Cookie Monster.

10:30 pm Key & Peele (Comedy Central) | Season finale: Sketches include Keegan getting distracted while on the phone with his girlfriend (uh-oh), and Jordan having a mean boss.

    • She has no formal training as a journalist. Her father Lou Walters owned the Latin Quarter nightclub on Broadway and 47th. He had connection in the entertainment industry and got her a job writing press releases for channel 4.

  • I don’t watch for Bab’s. I watch for the people/celebs she picks. Or the producers pick. ; ) She should retire.
