No word on why Elliott’s Russell Borchert resurfaces; we only know that he vanished off the face of the planet Greendale campus decades ago, following a bizarre sex scandal.

Season 5 of Community already boasts an impressive guest cast that includes Breaking Bad‘s Vince Gilligan and Jonathan Banks, Justified fave Walton Goggins, Arrested Development duo Mitch Hurwitz and David Cross, Terminator vet Robert Patrick and Castle star Nathan Fillion, among others.

Elliott’s recent TV credits include How I Met Your Mother and Adult Swim’s Eagleheart.

  • I part of me was hoping the [Spoiler] was that he’s the Human Being mascot, but this is good too.

  • The article lists Elliott as a “Saturday Night Live” alum? As if he hasn’t done anything else more noteworthy or more recently? Eagleheart? HIMYM? Get A Life? Cabin Boy? (OK, I went one too far.)

    • LOL! To me, he’ll always be The Guy Under The Seats on Late Night with David Letterman! :-) He seems to be a natural choice for this wonderful show!

  • Wonder how happy he was that another SNL cast member defiled his daughter, then dumped her.

  • Abed and Troy have such a good chemistry and Glover is a great actor with great rhythm. Not being a famous actor has me wondering about his exit. & the fact it’s hush hush points to something that took place in the shadows.
