The Boston Legal and Fringe alum will play the boyfriend of Kirstie Alley’s character, Maddie Banks (the central character of the Cheers alum’s new TV Land comedy, debuting Dec. 4).

Valerie Bertinelli’s Melanie has an interesting encounter with Valley’s alter ego while she’s checking items off her bucket list.

The crossover installment — a first for the network — goes into production in early December.

Hot in Cleveland is slated to return in Spring 2014.

  • Don’t forget Days of Our Lives!

Watched the “preview” episode of Kirstie via Comcast On-Demand. It’s dreadful.
