"Speak No Evil" - Los Angeles PremiereWe’re about to find out whether or not the Blutbad falls far from the tree: Grimm has cast Monroe’s parents.

Before the season began, series co-creator/executive producers David Greenwalt told TVLine that the clock enthusiast’s folks would make an appearance related to Monroe and Rosalee’s much buzzed-about wedding.

“They’re a little old-fashioned,” Greenwalt warned, implying that Monroe’s purist folks may not like the idea of their son being romantically involved with a Fuchsbau — and friends with a Grimm.

We hear that Monroe has to convince his parents to open up to his way of life or risk destroying his relationship with them.

Wallace is best known as Mary, mother of the E.T.-loving Henry in Steven Spielberg’s 1982 sci-fi hit. Recently, she’s appeared on Switched at BirthWarehouse 13 and The Office.

Mulkey played FNL‘s Coach Bill McGregor — aka the man who briefly replaced Coach Taylor in Season 2. His extensive TV credits include  The MentalistSaving Grace and Boardwalk Empire.

  1. Khorrie says:

There’s also the pretty obvious connection of Dee Wallace to The Howling.

  2. Monica says:

I love Grim-any scoop on it makes my day. I was a huge fan of FNL and am always excited when I see one of the actors in another show, but Chris Mulkey will always be Colliar from Any Day Now-it doesn’t matter how long it’s been or how many other shows I love seeing him in :)

  3. Rich Abey says:

This spells for major disaster. Monroe’s parents are gonna have their jaws dropped when they learn that their son’s potential fiance is a fuchsbau & his best friend is a Grimm. Or more likely to lose their heads (figuratively…doubt Nick would off their heads with his axe).

  4. Bob says:

Blutbad Bart? Say that ten times fast.

  5. Judy says:

Has everyone forgotten that Dee Wallace also became a werewolf in the original Howling. Great casting.

  6. MK Weber says:

Dee Wallace doesn’t look old enough to be Monroe’s mom!

  7. santaclaus says:

Can’t wait to see how they will react on Rosalee being a fuchsbau, but it’s even more exciting how they will react on Nick aka a grimm :)
