  1. sondra says:

Yes. SMG and Robin are great in The Crazy Ones

  2. Ames says:

I’m really suprised there isn’t anything for Scandal…

  3. Heather says:

So happy Scandal didn’t receive any nominations.

    • DoctorWhoFanatic! says:

Because quality television really pisses you off?

      • Ben says:

Scandal didn’t receive any nominations because it requires so much effort to keep it popular. Shows like Grey’s have a ridiculously committed fanbase, who don’t require all of the Twitter engagement that Scandal does. That’s how people get nominated – by people voting, and voting, and voting again for their ‘OTP’.

    • Jerry says:

Being nominated for People’s Choice Awards is not really a compliment. Doesn’t say much about quality or even popularity!

I still remembered somehow Beauty and The Beast winning best new show, and how all its fans proclaiming it will somehow beat Arrow in the ratings, though Beauty and The Beast is now the least-watched show, alongside The Carrie Diaries on network tv.

  4. Lalalala says:

Dean and Castiel should have been nominated for favorite on-screen chemistry

    • harmony says:

I know. I wrote it in in the previous stage of voting; there was a whole twitter and tumblr campaign to get them nominated. Sigh, maybe next year. At least Destiel and Sam are up for best bromance.

  5. dude says:

Wish Claire Holt would have been recognized for her amazingness. For shame Originals fans.

  6. Mike R. says:

While as always the majority of the nominees are awful, the favorite tv actor c

  7. iMember says:

    Sooo happy AWKWARD. got nominated!

  8. Mike R. says:

While as always the majority of the nominees are awful, the favorite tv actor comedy noms are especially bad, Parsons, and NPH are the only two that I actually find remotely funny, but Ferguson could be worse. The peoples choice awards get worse every year, but at least Maslany has a chance to win

  9. Tess says:

Go Grey’s Anatomy 5 nomination, now it’s time to vote

    • Luli says:

And one is for Meredith and Cristina… Maybe that will show Shonda that they need to be friends again, and not be at odds….

  10. wrstlgirl says:

Nice to see The Walking Dead and Sons of Anarchy on the list. Also Andrew Lincoln :-)

  11. White Hat says:

Surprisingly, ABC’s Scandal mafia didn’t hire any pros to rig the polls. Rather strange, considering their efforts to maintain the artificial hype in social media.

Slightly related: Good Wife will sweep this year. Sorry, kids.

    • Ron says:

Actually, The Good Wife won’t sweep this year. Not because it isn’t good, but because the very kids you’re apologizing to are the ones who vote. This isn’t an Academy-voted award; it’s a public-voted award. And truthfully the only ones who vote for the People’s Choice Awards are teenaged girls. And I highly doubt 14 year old girls are watching, let alone voting, for the Good Wife.

  12. Apples says:

Awards based on an internet popularity contest aren’t to be taken seriously tbf.

    • Markus says:

Voting awards or chosen by a committee, its irrelevant: nominees for Nobel, Pulitzer, Golden Globe, Oscar, Emmy, etc., are chosen mostly with bias and/or favoritism and prejudice. Honest award wins are rare. The only way is to get well known Honest people who love movies, or TV, or music, etc., but that will never happen.

  13. Hodan says:

Yes! Tatiana Maslany, Emilia Clark, Ian Somerhalder, Delena, Nina Debrov, Jim Parsons, Lea Michele, and SMG were nominated. I love it!

  14. Helen says:

I wish Bones would have been in more nominations.

  15. John 1138 says:

Best Bromance has to be Bear and Finch.

  16. Eliza says:

No ‘Favorite TV Bromance’ nomination for Shawn and Gus from Psych? That is just wrong!

    • Jimpy says:

Also, no McGarrett and Dano from H50, they gave us a new word, carguments. I question a lot of the nominees is many categories, but then again I only really watch about 6 shows and since Psych and Hawaii 5-0 are two of them, maybe by views are skewed.

    • A.B. says:

I know right. I saw Psych nominated for best comedy and was like YEA! Then scrolled down and saw that Shawn and Gus weren’t nominated for best bromance and I called foul. And then I scrolled down further and saw Emma and Hook nominated for best on screen chemistry and just called this list crazy.

  17. Spicypink49 says:

Scandal did not receive any nominations so I will not watch in Jan.

  18. Suzanne says:

    No Nathan fillion?!?!?

  19. Tina says:

Thank god Joseph Morgan gets so notice. It’s about time.

  20. Alex says:

    Lol Darren Criss

  21. Sarah says:

‘m really happy Bones got nominated. :) But I am a bit bummed and surprised that Emily and B&B didn’t.

  22. S says:

That list of Comedic TV males is pretty awesome. Not saying that a few of them comedically should be there, but the fact that 4 out of the 5 men on that list are gay in real life, and Darren Criss plays a gay character on TV is pretty fantastic. It’s definitely indicative of the times. When I think of funny guys on TV I don’t necessarily think of Darren Criss or Chris Colfer, even though Glee is still considered a comedy. But it’s still a pretty impressive list, society wise.

  23. Tony says:

I may actually watch. Finally and awards show that places those crappy teen shows in their own categories.
EW should take note of this in the future when doing their year end online polls!

  24. Lois says:

People may laugh about Glee and like to slag it and its fans off at every opportunity, but you can’t say our fandom doesn’t bring it whenever there’s a poll ;)

    • Kevin H. says:

Glee fans may “bring it” whenever there’s a poll but for the past few years they can never finish the job. There have been many awards shows were Glee was nominated but more times than less, they haven’t won anything.

  25. Lisa says:

Here’s hoping that Jensen Ackles, Lea Michele, Supernatural and Hook and Emma all win!!!

  26. Jenn says:

this last of nominations is so RANDOM and makes zero sense. how do chicago fire, nashville, and parenthood get tv drama nominations when they couldn’t even break into anything else? lol that’s just one example. WTF at so many other random inclusions.

also, scandal not being nominated for ANYTHING is 100% complete and utter NONSENSE. obviously this is the people’s choice awards and not an actually legitimate event, but this is still just ridiculous. NO OTHER show on network TV has been having the buzz scandal has had since past november. none. ratings wise and critically, it’s been on fire. and is unparalled in social media/hype. and yet, no nom for even kerry? or her and tony for chemistry? LOL please. there is no sane universe in which pauly perrette or marsika (in old and low-rated SVU) got more votes than kerry. just the one in which CBS did their fair share of rigging to get their people/shows on the final list.

    • Kat says:

It’s not about ratings or buzz. It’s about which person/show gets the most votes. Glee has a relatively young fanbase which translates into A LOT of votes (young people have more free time and are better connected to social media).

      • Jenn says:

i understand glee’s nods. never doubted those (or any of the tween shows). but some of these other shows do NOT have active online fanbases, certainly not as much as scandal.

        • The fact that ‘Nashville’ and ‘Parenthood’ don’t have a loud fanbase like ‘Scandal’ doesn’t mean they don’t have a fanbase.
Parenthood is a very beloved show with a very loyal and devoted fanbase. Also don’t underestimate the devotion of the Nashville fans. That particular fanbase is also not limited to the US. Last, both these shows are ensemble shows so you won’t see one of cast being nominated. The fans focused their efforts on the shows as a whole.

As for Scandal fans, they were probably too occupied with live tweeting during the episodes.

    • Camille says:

I totally agree with you, Jenn! I don’t even understand all the hate directed toward “Scandal” in these comments. Wow!! Wonder what it is???

  27. Jo says:

If anyone is looking to move outside of the US, this list of nominees would make a fine argument to seek asylum.

  28. GildedRose says:

Good nominations in the categories. Looking forward to the awards. I totally admit to being disappointed that Arrow’s Oliver Queen & Felicity Smoak/Stephen Amell & Emily Bett Rickards didn’t land a nom for On-Screen Chemistry though. Let’s face it, it’s kind of a rags to riches story with that show’s duo. When you have a one time player turn into a full time cast member based on fan reaction, that’s kind of the definition of Best On-Screen Chemistry. LOL. So i think they totally deserved a slot in that category. Ah well. Next year for Oliver/Felicity!

  29. Rich Abey says:

Seriously no Nathan Fillion? Bummed. At least ‘Castle’ got nominations in the other 4 categories.

    • Tish says:

Nathan Fillion definitely deserved to make the list. He is always enthralling whether it be in his dramatic or comedic portrayals. His facial expressions are superb lending credence to the old adage “a look is worth a thousand words”. Honestly I don’t pay much attention to award ceremonies even though I’m an avid TV/movie watcher – but felt the need to put my 2 cents in on behalf of Nathan.

  30. May says:

Booth and Brennan should be in Favorite On-Screen Chemistry. No one has better chemistry than them.

  31. meem says:

The fact that Sleepy Hollow and its stars weren’t even on the lists from which voters chose nominees tells you that this whole thing is bogus. Tom Mison isn’t only the best actor on a new show, he’s one of the best actors on ANY show right now, and fans couldn’t even nominate him without writing him in, which certainly never works (though many tried, I know).

    • Maris says:

It didn’t qualify for the normal categories, but I’m pretty sure Sleepy Hollow is nominated for best new drama

      • Alichat says:

They really should have spit that last category into two – Favorite New TV Show – Drama, and Favorite New TV Show – Fantasy/Sci-Fi. Then split the nominees out to Betrayal, The Blacklist, Hostages, Reign, and added Masters Of Sex…..then Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Dracula, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, The Originals, Sleepy Hollow, The Tomorrow People.

  32. maria says:

So happy that Ian Somerhalder and Joseph Morgan got nominated there My favorite Actors. I am so sad though that Nathan dident get nominated.

  33. shmrck14 says:

So there’s favorite cable actress but not actor?

  34. webly3 says:

    Parenthood’s nomination made my day.

  35. HAP says:

    No Jon Stewart? Ridiculous.

  36. TL says:

I wish the “people” would vote to not do “The People’s Choice Awards” anymore.

  37. Anissa says:

No New Girl for any category?! I’d have thought Nick and Jess would at least get a best chemistry nod…

  38. Matt says:

How is Downton Abbey a “Cable Drama”? I know that PBS isn’t always considered a broadcast network, but it certainly fits better there than as a cable network.

  39. Maggie says:

Finally, PARENTHOOD is noticed. It’s the BEST drama on TV. Where can I vote?

  40. DavidSask says:

I think favorite Cable actor is missing?!

  41. lll says:

  42. patty says:

I am sick to death that Jay Leno is being left out….after all 20 years and #1 most of that time doesn’t seem to matter to you people..I for one will never watch that person replacing Jay. NBC is just crap – – maybe the very liberal and sickening with it – will feel the rath of the idiots that run NBC!!!! CHARMA PEOPLE. thank you for letting me vent.

  43. cjeffery7 says:

    1) Downton Abbey’s not on cable…
    2) I was about to fake-rage over no Orphan Black but Tat for the nom, lol.
    3) Sharknado HAHAHAHA
    4) Hello, Ross!
    5) FRINGE! i’m so glad people still remember. =)

  44. Joey says:

So happy my favorite shows and actors got nominated today.

  45. Sara says:

Scandal screwed itself with the ill timed triangle storyline. Just very bad timing. Those that got the noms, their fans are happy at the moment, while the Scandal fanbase is divided and not unified like they were in the past.

  46. bobbie says:

for most of these, I choose ‘none of the above”. Too many categories to comment on them all, but it’s a disappointing array of choices afaic.

  47. Kat says:

Glad to see The Good Wife, Julianna Margulies and Josh Charles made it through. I voted for them but I thought they wouldn’t get in so I’m pleased!

  48. Markus says:

Man, I hope Selena Gomez wins. Why? Because she gets too much “hate”, specially from the pop culture masses, which “Hate” shows on her sales (Single/Album/movies/concert). The world is full of Bigotry.

  49. Jerry says:

Happy that 2 Broke Girls got nominated! It has been snubbed at the Emmys time and time again, but at least the people got it right and it at least got a nomination.

I think history will prove that 2 Broke Girls will have the legacy as shows like Friends. It’s new, and different. From the moment the character Max bashed the two rude guys wearing knit hats ordering food in the opening scene, I know it has ushered in a brand new era of great comedy!

  50. Ryan says:

Cable TV Actress is a category but none for actor?
