The fallen Following acolyte has been cast opposite Nickelodeon fave Victoria Justice in MTV’s cyber thriller pilot, Deadline reports.

Based on RL Stine’s novel of the same name, the project centers on Lindy, a hacker (Justice) whose blog exposes everything from terrorist plots to suspected killers. After a foray into online dating, Lindy is targeted by a stalker, and after things take a deadly turn, she teams with a cyber-crime unit to catch the killer.

Tortorella joins Eye Candy as the unit’s flirty leader, whose fascination with Lindy may be more than professional.

Fox is developing Street Soldier, a limited series exec-produced by and starring Twilight vet Peter Facinelli, Deadline reports. Based on the memoir Street Soldier: My Life As An Enforcer For Whitey Bulger And The Boston Irish Mob, the project chronicles boxer/drug dealer Eddie MacKenzie, who acted as an enforcer for the long-at-large crime boss.

• The Crazy Ones has landed Missi Pyle (The Artist) and Kurt Fuller (Better With You) for a pair of upcoming episodes. Per EW.com, Pyle will play the daughter of Simon’s former colleague, while Fuller drops by as an exec looking to hire the ad firm.

The CW is teaming with Fred Durst on The Noise, per TV Guide Magazine. The hour-long drama project will be based on the the Limp Bizkit frontman’s life.
