Syfy Pilot Dominion Cast Anthony HeadRupert Giles will soon hold dominion over Syfy.

Buffy vet Anthony Head has joined the cast of Dominion, the cabler’s supernatural action pilot based on characters from the 2010 motion picture Legion.

Set 25 years after the movie, the project — starring Kings alum Christopher Egan — follows a war between mankind and an army of angels.

Per Deadline, Head joins Dominion as the senate president of one of just a few remaining cities.

Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones), Luke Allen-Gale (The Borgias) and Shivani Ghai (EastEnders) will also co-star alongside the previously cast Alan Dale (Lost) and Tom Wisdom.

• Two-time Dancing With the Stars champ Julianne Hough is slated to return to the ABC staple on Monday, Oct. 7. She’ll guest-judge alongside Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

• Former E! darling Kendra Wilkinson has been cast in “a funny little part” in an upcoming episode of The Mindy Project, Mindy Kaling tells US Weekly.

  • Why does every CW pilot have to have some type of supernatural or space type twist on it? I love Hart of Dixie and wish they could find a couple of shows like that or one tree hill.

    • Those shows no longer work for the CW, but that’s not to say they haven’t stopped. They still have Carrie Diaries and the new Reign. It’s just that Sci-Fi and Supernatural genres work best for the CW. Plus, they’re far more interesting that the old teenage high school melodrama a la 9O21O and Gossip Girl.
