An E! rep declined to comment. An insider at the network, meanwhile, tells us they hope to work with Lochte again in the future.

WWRLD? received a huge marketing push when it debuted last April, but visibility didn’t translate into ratings. The premiere drew an underwhelming 800K viewers, and the audience dropped precipitously with each episode. The May 27 finale drew just over 300K viewers.

  • Didn’t Joe McHale pretty much give this away on The Soup last week? No matter the show looked awful.

  • Glad it’s gone. I always thought it was an odd premise to remake the Anna Nicole show with a male.

  • Ha ha. Is anyone surprised? I wonder why anyone even thought it would be hit? Why every semi-famous D-list believes that reality show about their life will super successful? You could understand that Ryan’s 15 minutes of fame will end up when Olympics will end. He was everywhere during Olympics. Everyone wanted to hear his thought about it. And then they ended and he had nothing to “promote” Of course he will vanish from media and people will forget about him.

Also he is pretty idiot. And everyone laughs at how stupid he is. BUt he is also very boring. I can’t imagine how people could watch his show, You could see it even in previews that it will be boring.

  • Dude is good looking and has a great body, but he barely manage a complete sentence. I remember laughing after he had a guest spot on some network show. He complained that it was really hard trying to talk and “do movements” at the same time.

  • The reason this show was awful and was consequently cancelled has nothing to do with Ryan as a person and everything to do with the way his media portrayed him. The “douchey” and straight public image sells better to women than the reality (that he’s sweet and gayer than a unicorn sliding down a rainbow) does. To anybody who actually watched the show and knows anything about pre-London 2012 Ryan, a solid 90% of that show was a lie. So instead of rambling on and on about the intelligence of someone you know nothing about, how about you question the media being handed to you and realize that the only “douchebags” in the situation were the ones who produced this horrendous excuse for a TV show.

    • Well….Ryan went along with it. He has free will and exercised it. He’s a ham, and thought he had enough in him to pull off a reality show. He was terribly and embarrassingly wrong.

  • TMZ has just reported that the show was NOT canceled and that it will be revamped and renamed in Season 2 to “Who Would Do Ryan Lochte?” Kris Humphries makes a surprise appearance in the season premiere.
