TVLine has learned exclusively that the Damages Emmy winner will guest-star on the USA Network drama as Brett Forsythe, a businessman who specializes in hostile corporate takeovers and is an avid collector of valuable artifacts from natural history.

Forsythe lands in the FBI’s crosshairs when he is suspected of orchestrated a “dino-mite” heist — that is, the theft of a Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil and its egg, which together are worth millions.

Guesting in the same episode is Outsourced alum Rebecca_HazlewoodRebecca Hazlewood as Dr. Reva Khatri, a curator at the targeted natural history museum. A passionate paleontologist, Dr. Khatri believes the true value of dinosaur fossils comes from sharing them with the world.

Some of Ivanek’s other TV credits include Banshee, The Event, Big Love and Heroes, while Hazlewood most recently played doctor in a Season 8 episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

The two actors will appear in the eighth episode of White Collar Season 5, which premieres Thursday, Oct. 17 at 9/8c (leading into the back half of Covert Affairs Season 4).

    • I’ve hated him since he played an incestuous father on L&O. So, no.

  • I hope with the reduced episode count to 13 episodes this season that they just air them continuously till the end. It’ll be so stupid if they were to break up the season in half after already making us wait so long

    • Wait we’re only getting 13 episodes of WC? O.o

      • Yeah, I believe so. I read somewhere that they reduced the episode count to allow Jeff Eastin more time to work on both WC and Graceland.

  • yes they did reduce the episodes from 16 to 13. I was sad initially, but then I realized season 4 had so many filler episodes which brought the show down frankly. Quality over quantity anyday for me, even if it means I have to bear the loss of 3 less hours of Matt Bomer:(
There will be no break, well. maybe a week or two during the holidays, so that’s good.
