The Walking Dead First Look: Official Season 4 Poster Points to a Prison Break

Is The Walking Dead‘s prison chapter about to come to an end?

AMC has released the official key art for the zombie phenom’s upcoming fourth season, and the haunting image of Rick standing in front of the compound’s severed fence suggests a break-in (or is it a break out?) is about to be staged.

Michal Scofield will break in to get Zombie Sara.

    Speculate much?

    • JD says:

Sure, let’s speculate. 1) We know the prison isn’t going to last forever. They’ve strayed a little from the comic story, but not that much – so we can assume that the prison will be compromised this season and a lot of characters will die. But because of the changes we don’t know which character’s are going to become Walker Chow and which ones survive. 2) Who attacks the Prison this time? Well, it seems pretty obvious that the Governor should be the one to lead the charge, but they might decide to introduce a new Big Bad from the comic, just much much earlier. What if a certain baseball bat named Lucille and her “handler” show up to crash the prison? (Comic readers know who I’m talking about). But that would go against the pattern of sticking to the general storyline with some minor changes along the way. I’m thinking that they may introduce The Hunters this season. The comic storyline for them was short and mysterious, so there would be plenty of backstory to explore for the TV show.

  3. It’s a break in. The prison is behind Rick and the fence was clearly pushed from the outside in.

  4. AQ says:

I enjoy the show, but I think it’s a bit ridiculous posting an ad for the show and encouraging folks to over-analyze it as if it held any great meaning. Lazy, TvLine…

  5. Rashad says:

Really?! That’s it?! Pretty bad poster for a great TV show.

  6. MLO says:

Wasn’t the fence already broken from the season finale when the Governor’s minions drove a truck through it?

  7. Kristen says:

I really don’t care what it means, I just need this show back in my life ASAP. Hurry!

  8. Jokester says:

Looking at it closely, The fence is broke inward, that’s a given, the barb wire across the top is not stretched out that far so it was not a very large vehicle that did this if at all. The fence is bowed which means not only did a vehicle pass through here, other things were pushing in as well. Zombies? maybe, but the best part about this is WHO CARES! just put the damn show on and enjoy it.
