• Another day, another American Idol story: Mega-music producer Dr. Luke — the man behind hits like Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” and Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” — is now in talks to join the judging panel for the Fox competition series’ upcoming revamped 13th season.

• Cybill Shepherd (The Client List) will guest-star in Season 15 episode of Law & Order: SVU. Per TV Guide Magazine, she’ll play a Paula Deen-esque restaurant owner who allegedly murders an unarmed black teen in a hoodie. (Sound familiar?)

• Cole Hauser will star opposite Thandie Newton in Season 2 of the DirecTV crime drama Rogue, which bows in 2014.

  • I love a good ripped from the headlines, especially two for one. Long live Benson and co. SVU!

    • I’m sorry but that sounds beyond stupid…

      • Pathetic. Especially since the discrimination charges against Paula Deen were dismissed (and I’d never heard of her before all this fuss). It’s really sad that SVU is perpetuating race baiting.

  • Has there been a decision about season 3 of The Client List? This long wait with no announcement has me worried.

    • According to TVLine, “Jennifer Love Hewitt, who is expecting a child with co-star and fiancé Brian Hallisay near the end of the year, reportedly wants her real-life baby daddy to play her fictional one on the Lifetime drama.” Which is apparently causing a major delay because the showrunner does not like that idea.”

  • That’s too bad about Penikett. I ADORE him as an actor, but Star Crossed is going to get cancelled (and I like the CW). Its nice to see he’s getting lots of work though

    • He should have his own show already or at least be a regular in a very good one. He’s fabulous and also, *cough-superhot -cough*. :)

  • Helo everywhere! I love it. Except I’d also love to see him as a regular again somewhere, too.

Also, Dr. Luke is the first judge idea I’ve heard that makes brilliant sense, though I’ll never watch Idol again.
