Fall TV Preview

Exclusive: Fox's Brooklyn Nine-Nine Opens Door to Andy Richter Guest Appearance

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Cast Andy RichterBrooklyn Nine-Nine will briefly control Andy Richter‘s universe this fall.

TVLine has learned exclusively that the Conan sidekick will guest-star in an early episode of the new Fox comedy, which bows Sept. 17 at 8:30/7:30c.

For the uninitiated, Brooklyn revolves around the detectives (fronted by SNL vet Andy Samberg) of the 99th precinct as they adjust to an ambitious new captain (Andre Braugher).

Richter will play a disinterested and dry-humored doorman at a building where an investigation is taking place.

In addition to his nightly Conan gig, Richter’s recent credits include Arrested Development, Happy Endings and Hot in Cleveland.

    • Great show. Universe was great too, but I think I liked Barker a little more. Just a little.

    • He’s a better character actor than a leading actor, which is why his previous series failed.
