Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on Mentalist, SVU, Grey's, Parenthood, NCIS: LA, Revenge and More!

Revenge Season 3 Wedding EmilyGot a scoop request? An anonymous tip you’re dying to share? Send any/all of the above to askausiello@tvline.com

Question: I’m a huge fan of Tina Majorino, and I loved her on Grey’s Anatomy last season. I know she has her own show on TNT now, but do you have any intel on whether she’ll be back for at least one or two episodes this season? I especially like her boss/student relationship with Meredith. —Ingmar
Ausiello: Majorino’s Heather will appear in the two-hour season premiere, which picks up right where last May’s cliffhanger left off. And according to series creator Shonda Rhimes, said opener “will account for Heather’s absence” moving forward, adding, “We loved [Tina], and she is wonderful on our show. But yes, we will account for her absence.”

Question: Hey, you got any Grey’s Anatomy scoop on this season’s fourth episode, aka the show’s 200th? —Sara
Ausiello: Hey, I do. Rhimes says she didn’t “want to do anything crazy,” noting that the milestone hour will center on “a really great” story. “We’re not doing anything insane that’s going to freak anybody out.”

Question: Dying for scoop on NCIS: LA. What’s going to happen now that Kensi and Deeks have kissed? —Leah
kensi and deeks kissAusiello: They’re going to have a serious chat. Per Eric Christian Olsen, the Sept. 24 premiere features “the most honest conversation that Deeks and Kensi have ever had.” Speaking of the opener, it “picks up exactly where we left off, continuous — [Deeks is] mid-torture, Kensi’s in peril,” Olsen reveals, adding that the episode ends on a cliffhanger. “I can’t give it away, but even that is ‘To be continued…'”

Question: How will Van Pelt and Rigsby be written out of The Mentalist? Also, how many Season 6 episodes will they appear in? —Chloe
Ausiello: Let me tackle your second question first. According to sources, Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman will appear in more than a dozen episodes before departing the CBS procedural in the spring. As far as how they’ll exit, series creator Bruno Heller would only say that the conclusion of the Red John chapter this fall will launch The Mentalist — and specifically Jane — on a bold new course. “I’ve always wondered how the show would go on from that,” Heller muses. “Once Moby Dick has  been killed, what happens next? You have to tell the story about how Patrick gets back to shore. He’s been out of sea hunting this creature for so long, I think people will want to know what happens to him after that. Does he live happily ever after? What happens when you’ve been searching for something as long as he has? We are going to get into that. It would be cheating the audience not to tell them what happens after. We have a great story for that saga, because it begins a whole new saga. Where does he go from there? How does he live with what he’s done? Can he find happiness? All of those are big questions we are going to explore.”

Question: What can we expect of Olivia this season on Law & Order: SVU? – Allyson
Ausiello: We know that Olivia will make it out of last season’s cliffhanger alive, but how will her encounter with Lewis affect her emotionally? Executive producer Warren Leight tells us that Benson will have a season-long arc, beginning with the two-hour season premiere (airing Sept. 25), that finds her in bad shape. “Olivia will very much be dealing with and reeling from her encounter with Lewis,” Leight hints. “Her character’s got incredible empathy for others and yet has had a hard time looking out for herself. This is the season where she’s talked the talk to others, but she hasn’t had to walk the walk until now.”

Question: I have a Q about your charity swag auction. I want to bid on the Shield final season jacket, but there’s no mention of what size it is. Help! —John
Ausiello: The tag is missing, so there’s no way to know for sure but… I believe it’s a large. I’m a medium (seriously, I am!) and it’s a little loose on me, so I’m going with large. Worst case scenario, you win the item, discover it’s too big and turn it into a commemorative pillowcase. That’s right, I said commemorative pillowcase.

the good wife alicia and graceQuestion: Can you give us some scoop on The Good Wife? —Ella
Ausiello: Prepare to despise Grace a little less in Season 5. “Grace has always been an impediment to Alicia’s advancement, and that’s one of the reasons I think she’s not as embraced by the audience as Zach is,” muses exec producer Robert King of the rebellious teen. “This year is a real attempt at a real change in Grace, to see how she and her mom can reach the same wavelength and not allow her differences to become an impediment for Alicia. [Their story] becomes an exploration of differences.”

Question: So, Bones creator Hart Hanson recently said that there were significant developments for the Sweets character in the upcoming season’s first half or so. Other than his guilt over Pelant’s actions, and an upcoming sabbatical that the 04/30 Ask Ausiello referred to, do you have more scoop on what else we are to expect from Sweets this season? —Ed Z
Ausiello: Season 9 will find the head shrinker questioning whether he “wants to keep doing what he’s doing at the FBI,” previews portrayer John Francis Daley. “No matter how hard he tries, he doesn’t feel like he’s making enough of a difference in the world. Profiling criminals wasn’t the reason he got into his profession in the first place. So this season will definitely explore that inner monologue that’s going on with him.” And as teased in that aforementioned AA column, Sweets’ soul searching takes him away from the Jeffersonian in search of greener pastures. “There’s an opportunity for him to do something completely different, and he tries it out,” Daley confirms. “And somehow it leads to a lot of guns being shot and a lot of drama in the interrogation room. It’s chaos!”

Question: I need some scoop on my favorite (and miraculously alive) summer show Drop Dead Diva! Grayson and Jane are endgame, right? I’m sure this is the last season and it just doesn’t seem to be heading that way. —Rebecca
Ausiello: Yeah, Sunday’s summer finale — in which Jane was about to confess her feelings to Grayson, only to see him macking on new GF Nicole — certainly seemed like a setback for the unrequited pair. Moving forward, series creator Josh Berman says the challenge for Jane will be deciding “how much can she meddle” in Grayson’s new romance. “It’s one thing when the object of your affection is engaged to somebody else — you kind of just say, ‘OK, I give up,'” he explains. “But with a new relationship right outside your office, and Jane’s going to be witnessing it, the question is: When does Jane jump in? When does Jane proclaim herself? And will she? Will Jane throw down the gauntlet and say, ‘I love you. Pick me. Love me’? Those are issues we deal with in the fall. We packed a lot of juice into the fall season.”

Question: Will Haddie be making any appearances on Parenthood this season? —Erin
Ausiello: According to a Braverman insider, there are no current plans for Sarah Ramos’ college sophomore to pay a visit. However, my gut tells me we’ll see her at least once or twice during the show’s 22-episode fifth season (especially if it’s the last season). Also: My gut is never wrong. Ask anyone. It’s true. (In other Parenthood news, what do you think of this?)

orphan black season 1Question: After catching up on Orphan Black in two days, it quickly turned into my favorite new show of the year. Got any scoop on what’s ahead in Season 2? —Jack
Ausiello: Two new recurring characters, for starters. The first one, Cal, will be introduced in Episode 3 and is described as a ruggedly handsome, adaptive and extremely well connected woodsman who possesses the heart of a lover. (Boyfriend for Felix, perhaps?) The other, more sinister-sounding newbie, Pastor Johanssen, debuts in Episode 2 and is the mercurial leader of a radical faith based “Prolethean” sect “who is fervently anti-science and views GMO’s and synthetic biology as a modern affront to God’s work.” (Um, Big Bad, much?)

Question: So is it too soon to ask about the upcoming season of Boardwalk Empire? —Denise
Ausiello: Not too soon! I screened the first two episodes of Season 4 (bowing Sept. 8) over the weekend and here’s what I can share: [Spoiler]’s whereabouts remain a mystery, [Spoiler] developed a major drug problem, and Jeffrey Wright makes a solid and rather unsettling first impression as Chalky’s quietly intense new nemesis, Valentin Narcisse.

Question: Any new scoop on The Mindy Project? —Flo
Ausiello: James Franco’s new MD is going to be adored by everyone… except Mindy. “Usually there’s a character where the girls love him and the guys don’t, but we played him as straight popular,” explains star/EP Mindy Kaling. “He becomes the new ‘Dr. L,’ because his name is Paul Leotard, and my character [Mindy Lahiri] is very hurt and upset by that. And we become very competitive.” Of course, the line between loathing and loving is a thin one. “Mindy has to admit some attraction to him,” adds Kaling, who promises Franco’s arc will feature, “sex and intrigue and secrets and lies.”

Question: Can’t believe Dexter‘s almost over. Any scoop on the final episodes? —Claire
Ausiello: Deb’s fixation on removing Hannah from Dex’s life (and, by extension, her own) comes to a head this Sunday. (Warning: No matter your feelings about Dexter’s poisonous former flame, you might actually find yourself siding with her as Deb’s relentless pursuit escalates.)

Question: Anything on New Girl? Will we see Merritt Weaver this season? Is there a time jump? —Megan
new girl season 2Ausiello: Yes, Weaver’s Elizabeth returns. No, there isn’t a time jump. “The fans will find out what happened after the wedding,” confirms Hannah Simone, who says Schmidt is forced to “make some decisions” re: Cece vs. Elizabeth. “It’s up to Schmidt now. Cece is pretty self-explanatory and so is lovely Elizabeth, so he has a hard choice.”

Question: I’m so excited for Season 3 of Revenge — any scoop? —Simona
Ausiello: The words “The Initiative” — aka the symbol for everything that went wrong with Season 2 — will be uttered once in the Season 3 premiere. And then NEVER. AGAIN. “Conrad sort of said in the season finale that it never really existed in the first place,” notes new showrunner Sunil Nayar. “So we’re going to embrace that reality and go forward that way.” Nayar, meanwhile, confirms that the first episode will flash forward to Emily’s wedding day, although it won’t be immediately clear if it’s Daniel she’s marrying. “You’re going to see something spectacular happen,” he teases, “and we’re going to [build toward] that in the first half of the season.”

  1. Andrew says:

Ugh. ANOTHER wedding? Really, Revenge? I love y’all, but there needs to be something original. Now the wedding “victims” will be Daniel or Jack. Like, there’s absolutely no mystery to that. Season 3 better impress, or we’ll all be saying our goodbyes. The show can’t last long.

    • iMember says:

We’ve only actually had two weddings and that was when Victoria and Conrad got remarried and when Jack and Amanda got married…which was quickly shortlived because YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED. Plus whenever Revenge does big party events like this, it’s never a bad thing and knowing its Emily’s wedding shall be very exciting since we only ever got to her engadgement party in Season One. But it’s obvious it will be hers and Daniels wedding, because Jack won’t be forgiving her anytime soon.

      • WingsStef says:

Ha, don’t forget that it might be Emily and Aiden’s wedding. I would not be surprised but I am also guessing Emily and Daniel’s wedding because that is the current plan, right? To go back to the earlier plan? I guess time will tell. As for Jack, it would be very interesting to see how he reacts., And how Daniel reactions. I am sure he will wonder why Jack is sniffing around. Either way a wedding and marry, might not actually be the same. Either way, looking for a great season 3.

    • dude says:

Lez be honest, they won’t kill off Daniel or Jack.

  2. banke says:

i might actually start watching revenge again

  3. Kat says:

I guess Grace isn’t going to get in the way of Alicia’s “advancement” of boinking someone 24-7 who is not her husband (who she refuses to divorce) right? Because that’s all the show’s writers and fans seem to want.

    • Andrea says:

I definitely like Zach moreso than Grace. I always feel like the lights are on but no one’s home as far as Grace is concerned. Even with her storyline about exploring religion, Grace has seemed like a blank page since the series started. There’s nothing about her that I find I want the writers to explore.

      • Tav says:

Agreed. She’s so sheltered and requires so much hand-holding it’s exhausting. Also, scoop about Grace, over say, Kalinda? Really. REALLY? Do I even need to watch this season…

      • James Butler says:

I was stunned by Ausiello’s remarks that Grace was an impediment to Alicia’s advancement. In what way? When Grace called her ten times to tell her where she was going and she ignored her phone because she was in bed with her scumbag paramour, Alicia had to accept assistance from two people she was disrespecting, her husband and her friend Kalinda. The only impediment in Alicia’s advancement is her cheating on her husband and neglect of her children. Grace needs parental guidance not advice after the fact. Peter has turned his life around, when will Alicia see the light? And when Alicia had a crisis she sure didn’t call on Will.

        • Karen says:

I don’t know what episode you were watching, but Grace didn’t consciously call Alicia in that episode, she butt dialed her a bunch of times, which is why Alicia freaked out. And she wasn’t in bed with Will when she missed the calls, she was at work.

She’d been disrespecting Peter? Really? They were separated. In my opinion, he was the one who disrespected her when he slept with a hooker 19 times and with Kalinda (which he never told her about when she specifically asked if there was anyone else), and then had the gall to accuse her of sleeping with Will (before she actually had) when she confronted him about it.

Yeah Peter sure has turned his life around, especially in this past finale where he refused to report the fact that his campaign was cheating. He’s a real stand up guy.

And her children are teenagers for God’s sake, Zack is about to go to college and Grace is definitely old enough to take care of herself, so no, she isn’t abandoning her children.

          • James Butler says:

You Alicia fans find every excuse to justify Alicia cheating on her husband and blame him because he did it first. That seems to make it okay because they are separated…Separation doesn’t relieve one of their marriage vows or moral integrity. Alicia had filed for divorce when she got to LG AND STATED SLEEPING WITH HER BOSS. After the Grace phone incident her guilt got the best of her and called off the affair, Why is she so tormented and feel such anguish each time she think of what she is doing and how it effect her family. Why haven’t she re-filed for a divorce? It’s sure not because she is helping Peter because the news of her cheating won’t do anyone any good and the only one who won’t pay a price is the one who is in it for his own satisfaction and not respecting the fact that the woman he’s sleeping with is married. Why must the check into a Hotel and not his place> You can’t go the her place because of the children. If it’ okay why are they still sneaking around trying to hide the affair. ninety eight percent of Chicago know what’s going on why not tell the children the truth?

          • Karen says:

@James Butler: I’m not an Alicia apologist, she’s not perfect by any means and I do disagree with some of her decisions. But actually separation is a temporary “break” from marriage. Most couples who separate do in fact see other people. We don’t know what Peter was up to during the separation (aside from going after Will out of jealousy), and I find it hard to believe that he lived in celibacy for a year. I do think Alicia should have fully divorced Peter before starting something with Will (mostly I just really think she should divorce Peter period), but I (and many others) don’t consider it cheating. They were trying to hide the affair precisely because of the what ended up happening. He’s her boss, which Diane pointed out when she found out, and look what happened when Peter found out; he went after Will’s career, which definitely didn’t help the wife he claims to love, since she could have lost her job if the firm went under. Honestly I have no idea why she hasn’t re-filed for divorce, but it’s certainly NOT because she’s in love with her husband (which really should be the only legitimate reason to get back with anyone). I think it’s more damaging to her children to remain married to a husband she doesn’t love (which Robert King has openly said) out of some sort of misguided idea that it’s protecting her children. What kind of message is that sending to them? Stay in a loveless marriage instead of being with the person who actually makes you happy? My best guess aside from “protecting” her children is that it’s a combination of her not wanting to become her mother, as well as a love of power. I think she does like the status that being Peter’s wife brings (Julianna Margulies said something to that extent in a recent interview).

        • Will says:

@James Butler: Robert King, the EP of Good Wife referred to Grace as an impediment, NOT Ausiello. Also, seems like Robert King was using his word of the day calendar; today’s word is: impediment.

          • James Butler says:

            Check again Will!!!

          • James Butler says:

Does it really matter who said what about the impediment , the important thing is Alicia is cheating on her husband and NO ONE wants to hold her accountable. Her choice as a wife and mother was a bad one and that’s the picture in a nutshell. IT’S A BAD CHOICE!!!!!!!!!!

          • James Butler says:

Karen, you seem to be another of the die hard Alicia/Will affair and believe it’s okay for a MARRIED woman to sleep with some other man while still married. Why wouldn’t Peter go after Will for sleeping with his wife? Why don’t we try this scenario: Peter has been vilified, humiliated. punched, kicked and called everything but a child of God; yet he has pulled himself up and trying to put his life and family back together. HE should serve Alicia with divorce papers for adultery and name Will as a defendant/correspondent. He should sue LG for tolerating a senior member of the firm to continue an affair with a married subordinate, The American Bar Association should bring both Alicia and Will before the board of Moral, Ethics and Standards to explain why they shouldn’t lose the privileged to practice law. Explain to her children why she pretended to work toward mending her marriage but continue her scandalous affair with Will. Maybe executive producer Robert King can get the writers put more life into the show and see how many of the clients that the fornicators now litigate for would stick around. Don’t know if any of the legal procedures I mentioned is valid but it would make for an interesting storyline. Peter has paid his dues, he now needs some credit and a break from all the ridicule. Will is a s— bag and Alicia is a tramp……

    • fictional reality says:

If that’s all the show’s writers want why did Alicia spend all of last season schtupping her husband and no one else? Also, she’s leaving the firm in part to get away from Will. What show are you watching?

  4. 1mars says:

oh good lord, more Sweets, with all that is going on with B & B, Hodgela, Cam and Arastoo what we get is more sweets, why??????? Ausiello, tell me when that arc is over. Thanks

    • amber says:

This person ED is always asking Sweets questions here and insideline scoop it is getting tedious ED…you already know the answers to the same questions SNORE YAWN SNORE…there are other cast members besides your Sweets obsession. SNORE YAWN SNORE

    • anon says:

@1mars this sounds like the bonus ep from last year…airing as ep 3…just skip it, the cowriter of the ep has a mancrush on the actor and character of Sweets it’s actually quite embarrassing…and biased…or we can hope Sweets gets shot and leaves the show for good…or maybe Pelant can finish him of were he failed last season..BWHAHAHAHA KILL SWEETS!!!!

      • Gia says:

Aw, I like Sweets. Not enough to write in a question about him every week, but enough to want him on the show.

      • EL says:

Why do these writers get such an obsession with such totally annoying actors/characters? First Katheryn Winnick and now JFD. Enough with the Sweets stuff already. Oh and Daisy should emigrate to Canada — soon.

    • madbengalsfan85 says:

So much of what Pelant uses as ammunition came from Sweets…he knows where to strike the hardest because of Sweets, and now everyone knows it. If we are going to get Sweets storyline, this is the one I need. So bring it on

      • Anon says:

Except for the fact that pest Sweets hasn’t been B&B shrink for years so any current info he has written on them is inaccurate and his one sided pov and not the actual truth of who they are now in 2013…and ìf he’s still keeping shrink tabs on them and writing about them without their consent and know it is a creepy unprofessional douche move and a pity Pelant hadn’t of killed him off.

    • Bob says:

I think “Ed Z” wants Sweets in the worst (best?) way.

  5. Liza180 says:

I hope Schmidt chooses Elizabeth because Merritt Weaver is a delight to watch on that show and her comedic timing with Schmidt is hilarious. Some of the best scenes of the year were between them.

    • elin says:

Yes, I love her. such an awesome addition to the show. :)

    • Ari says:

I agree! I love Elizabeth so much more than Cece for Schmidt. Elizabeth loved him when he was shy awkward fat Schmidt and she loves him now that he’s skinny douchey Schmidt. Cece was always embarrassed that she even liked Schmidt. Schmidt deserves more than to be someone’s secret shame.

    • Aprilcot says:

Agreed! I am loving Merritt Weaver on New Girl!

  6. Chelisa says:

Schmidt NEEDS to choose Elizabeth. They are the cutest couple ever! Cece already had her chance…

    • S. says:

When you’re in a situation of needing to choose between two people, choose nobody. If it’s not obvious, you’re doing everyone a disservice. Clear your head, then if you end up with one of them, great. Don’t fight over a guy. Either he only wants to be with you, or cut him loose. Schmidt wants to be with CeCe and doesn’t want to hurt Elizabeth. If Elizabeth said ‘look I understand, I’m bowing out’ he’d feel guilty about how he treated her, but he wouldn’t be pining to have her back. That answers the question right there. If he intentionally lets CeCe go, he’ll regret it. Elizabeth should know she was second choice and not be comfortable with that. She should break up with him. Meanwhile Schmidt, even though he let CeCe down a bit when they were trying to make it work, should feel a little burned. He should be single for awhile and they should each try to earn the other person back.

  7. jimbo says:

If it’s the last season of Parenthood? Don’t talk like this, Michael! You’re bringing bad luck! Can’t imagine my TV life without the Bravermans.

    • Niki says:

There is something we dont know about, why they dont bring back Haddie.

      • drhenning says:

minor cost cutting and realism… She’s in college on the east coast… Unlike some TV shows that show complete neglect of realistic geography, this is real… When kids go 1000’s of miles away for college, they don’t come home except for holidays..

  8. The letter J says:

I feel cheated. Who is Emily marrying? The headline implies you have a clue.

  9. mike c says:

Why is Grace so despised? Is it because she’s found religion? That would be bigoted if so,

    • liz says:

I think Grace’s religious storyline is the most interesting thing they’ve done with the character. She’s annoying in the way that both kids were for seasons – they fell into that ‘adult show with children’ trope and they didn’t do anything to enhance the story. They basically existed to give Alicia something to root onto in her life. They expanded Zak’s story and he’s a bit more relevant to the plot as he’s gotten involved with his Dad’s campaign. Nothing Grace does is relevant to the main story of the show and its just like wasted air time.

      • Andrea says:

I find Grace to be boring, and when she’s not boring, I’ve often wondered if she doesn’t have a developmental impairment of some kind. She doesn’t seem to process or understand at times. Like I said upthread, she’s very blank. I almost wish that the writers would have given Grace some sort of developmental disability. With her father in the public eye like he is, it would have been interesting to touch on how a family in the public eye would handle raising a child with special needs. I wouldn’t want that to be the whole show, but it could have been an interesting side thread.

        • Bob says:

“developmental impairment”. It’s a fictional character! That’s how she’s written.

          • Andrea says:

I realize that Grace is fictional, and I don’t disagree with you that it could be a result of the writing for Grace, but I’ve always thought that about the character…that she has some sort of processing disability or impairment. She doesn’t seem to grasp or follow concepts sometimes.

  10. ZmaX says:

Emily’s Wedding? This will be interesting, especially since it’s already been teased that she’ll be lying in a pool of blood.
I love when these glamorous Hamptons parties end in disaster; shootings, arrests, murders, scandalous reveals…does that make me a bad person?

  11. Maggie says:

Miss Haddie but there are too many people in this cast. I’d like to see more interaction among the family members.

  12. SAM says:

Thank heavens! It sounds as if Red John will be caught this year!

  13. icy says:

I feel bad for Liv on SVU, I know that the premiere is going to be very terrifying.. Liv is very strong, I hate when bad stuff happens to her..

  14. Babar says:

Aww, I really like Heather, she is my favorite intern.

“will account for Heather’s absence”: Does that mean she will be leaving after the
premiere or will she be appearing less frequently?

  15. CJS says:

So who else thinks that they’ll kill off Heather in the Grey’s premiere?

  16. Magically Suspicious says:

Van Pelt and Rigsby better have a happy ending. They’ve always been one of the sweetest, most likeable couples. I’d be very sad if they ended in anything less than happily ever after.

    • cas says:

Seriously I will be so upset if they don’t. They better not try to make them one of the bad guys either as that would be awful!

  17. Reba says:

Really??? That’s the question you ask about Merritt Weaver coming back? We already know she’s back for at least 2 more episodes. They said that months ago! I’d like to hear some about Jess’s Bollywood Blue Lagoon pic teased online last week.

  18. It’s gotta be Jillian that develops a series drug problem on Boardwalk Empire. I mean after getting shot up at the end of last season, I can’t imagine that she just ‘bounces back’ from that.

  19. Yunuem says:

I think Emily is going to marry Patrik, because he is now the favorite son

  20. Jake says:

I don’t understand what they mean that she’s never had to walk the walk before. A few seasons ago she was almost raped while in the prison and she had trouble dealing with it afterwards.

    • Jake says:

      ON SVU I meant.

    • Mary says:

Being almost raped is traumatic but not the same as actually being raped. I fear what Warren Leight was hinting at is that this time Olivia’s not going to get away with almost this time.

      • Amanda says:

I’m nervous about it too, but considering how many close encounters she’s had, I have a feeling it’s bound to happen :( I am excited to see how Mariska plays it though b/c it’s a side of Olivia we rarely see. Although, guaranteed I will be bawling my eyes out throughout the season premiere & episodes afterwards… #SaveBenson #Season15 #SVU

  21. Spoiler Junkie says:

RE: The Mentalist: So, Rigby and Grace will be gone by mid season. Will Bruno give them a happy ending or will one of them/ both of them become casualties in the Red John arc? I personally hope they get a happy send off and not a depressing one.

RE: Dexter: Hmm, so far the final season has been all over the place. Doesn’t feel like the final season. No stakes at all. IMO, the show is crawling tediously towards the finish line.

Deb goes after Hannah again – why does this feel like deja vu of the happenings of S7. And I really hate how the writers un/intentionally painted Debra as the villain in this scenario. Looks like the same will happen again and Deb will be labeled a hypocrite for wanting to get rid of Hannah.

Also, when did a show about a serial killer turn into a romantic soap opera? (refer to ending of E7 and trailer of E8) Instead of the final season keeping the collective fan base on the edge of their seats, the Debsters and Hansters ( and the show writers) have taken over and are making this once awesome, dark show look like a teenage love story where Dex has to choose between two women.

Don’t even get me started on how everything (looks like) is leading to Vogel being the one who made Dexter bad and all Dexter has to do is stop killing therefore absloving him of all his crimes.

And to top it all, Breaking Bad is also on it’s last run and although the two shows are different in terms of genre, the difference in quality while watching the two one after the other is startling.

    *end of rant*

  22. Mitholas says:

Uhm. Why would season 5 of Parenthood be the last season?

  23. “Prepare to despise Grace a little less in Season 5.”

Well it’s not like I could despise her more.

  24. Hmmmm says:

I hope Jane has the courage to tell grayson how she feels and let the chips fall as they may. Although it would have been even better if grayson had actively pursued her for more than one episode this season! No matter what, it is time to finally play that hand!!

    • Babybop says:

Right?! I was thinking the same thing. He tries one time right after she breaks up her engagement and then gives up? Give her some time and try again, but noooo, he starts dating the assistant. Ha ha.

      • Hmmmm says:

I know! That was very frustrating to me! Haha! Don’t just give up after one try if you think she’s the one! I love this show, but give the people what they want already! :)

  25. A says:

So glad they will finally be dealing with the Grace problem on TGW.
Also, thanks for the Revenge scoop. I love Revenge’s tradition of flash forwards at the start of every season. So exciting! And the fact that there will be no more initiative is music to my ears. Now, if they can just find a way to eventually get rid of Aiden for good, I think this will turn into a great season.

  26. Wonderhood says:

Is there talk of parenthood ending? Why could this be the last season??

    • A says:

I think Parenthood is going to really have a hard time this season being up against Scandal and Elementary. Who knows? It might stand a chance, but I foresee a significant ratings struggle in its new timeslot..

  27. mewofford says:

Hopefully the power couple on NCIS:LA will have a happier time than the one on their mother ship, Tony and Ziva.

  28. Brigette says:

I honestly don’t care how crazy Deb goes trying to get rid of Hannah– I will NEVER side with Hannah. Let us not forget that Hannah tried to kill Deb– are you saying you’re annoyed that Deb will do anything to get rid of her after that? Honestly? It’s Deb all the way, and truthfully, I think Hannah is one of the most boring characters to ever grace that show and I would love nothing more than for her to be gone as well (which I know she won’t be). All that being said, this whole storyline is literally a repeat of last season and I never enjoyed watching it the first time. This is Dexter, not Days of Our Lives, afterall.

    • me says:

THIS. if anything that only makes people hate Hanna’s character when they are trying to show Hanna as little miss sunshine. Hanna tried to poison Deb twice now she can do whatever she wants and it will be just fine. Deb is the heart of the show,Hanna is there because the writers wanted an excuse to add sex scenes.

  29. Zoe says:

…Are they seriously going to have Lewis RAPE Liv?! ……..That is so wrong!

  30. jenferner8 says:

Thanks for Orphan Black info! I got addicted watching it ondemand when there wasn’t another damn thing on tv and have been in withdrawal ever since. Now, WHEN exactly the hell is the show going to be back!??

  31. Alex says:

Haddie can be a little annoying sometimes but I definitely want to see her back!

  32. K. says:

I know I might be the only one but I think I’d like to see Coach and Cece get together! I really like Elizabeth and Schmidt together also…

  33. Joe says:

Hannah’s a dangerous killer who kills for professional or monetary gain. Or those who get in her way. SHE WILL NEVER GET MY SYMPATHY NO MATTER YOU OR WRITERS TRY TO SAY OR DO. She’s pathetic. The character needs to die already.

    • A says:

Someone like Hannah need to die, but Dexter should live? (Of course, this is all in the context of the show. In the real world, they should both be behind bars)

      • Joe says:

Hannah has no sense of moral, a conscience, or a code. She kills for her own benefit. Dexter kills bad guys – and yes because he wants to – but has that, has shown a capability of so much more humanity, capability of feeling, etc. There’s more complexity to him. (and of course like you said in the context of the show)

My problem with Hannah stems from being a poorly written stale character. YS tries her best an she’s great. But I feel nothing for her. None of her story makes me feel sorry for her doing what she does.

  34. Diane says:

Thanks for the NCISLA scoop. Hope to get good Deeks and Kensi scenes.

I hope Liv on SVU doesn’t get raped. I don’t want to see that.

  35. CJ says:

I am concerned about Drop Dead Diva as well and hoping (although not holding my breath) that the fall season will not be the last.

  36. AymieJoi says:

Well, if Deeks and Kensi are going to have a “serious chat”, it means Deeks gets to keep his tongue, and that’s all that matters at this point! (Poor Deeks!!!)

  37. diane says:

has anyone heard anything new about the Time Warner Cable Vs CBS dispute. Has there been any talks, any updates…. Missing CBS….

  38. Just one thing says:

I haven’t watched SVU regularly in four years or so. But this potentially gimmicky storyline may just rope me back in. (And I’m woman enough to admit when I’m about to be had!)

  39. Missy says:

So disappointed that Rigsby and Van Pelt are being forced out! The Mentalist has a great cast so why change it? I want to see more Rigsby and Van Pelt not less!

  40. kate says:

I wonder if this pastor will be the ultimate guy behind Tomas on OB. And really who else couldnthe other guy be for though he could be someone we want for Alison since she is with that treacherous prick.

  41. Madison says:

I am so stoked about this season of “The Mentalist.” I want to see Red John finally go down. I also am very interested in how Jane moves on. I also really want them to do something with him and Lisbon. After everything they’ve been through together, how much they obviously care for each other and how good they are together, it would feel like wasting good to let their paths diverge or have him end up alone or with someone else. Great spoilers. Thanks.

  42. Also M. says:

About the CeCe, Schmidt and Elizabeth triangle: I hope he ends up with CeCe. I like Elizabeth but not as his girlfriend. Friend, yes. It would kinda suck if they introduced this new character after two seasons of Schmidt and CeCe and making me want them together, ya know. :/

    • cas says:

Thank you!! I like Elizabeth too but CeCe and Schmidt are too cute together. I think Elizabeth and Schmidt have more of a friend chemistry going on.

    • Spoiler Junkie says:

Completely agree. I love Schmidt and Cece together. Would be better, if Schmidt and Elizabeth part ways as friends.

  43. cj says:

Revenge sounds horrible now. They just keep trying to fix things by taking the lazy way out.

  44. Anon says:

Gee…Dexter is torn between Deb and Hannah….how surprising. It’s not like they didn’t already play out that story for an entire season last year.

  45. Ella says:

I don’t WANT to see more of Grace on The Good Wife. Give Zach that screen time, he is a far, far better character. I’m sick of the fact that, despite Grace being despised, she gets so much more affection from her mother. UGH.

  46. QueenofEngland says:

    Side with Hannah? MUAHAHAHAH
Deb’s biggest mistake last season was not letting her bleed out when she had the chance. Now we have to watch this dreck play out again.

  47. Bill says:

Why does it feel like The Mentalist is ending this season without anyone coming forward and saying such? Red John story getting wrapped up mid-season feels odd to me. Why not just end it in the season (series?) finale? Waited this long for it a few more episodes wont hurt

  48. Slava-G says:

I think it will be seven (7) seasons …

  49. Ellen in NYC says:

wow, not what I wanted to hear about Drop Dead Diva. I’ve always thought Grayson was such a bore and I would have been happy if he was out of the picture with Jane. Owen, on the other hand, was smart and funny–until this season, when they turned him into an angry guy. Too bad. I still like the show, just not the story line.

  50. The Real Amanda Clarke says:

I’ll mainly be watching Revenge for the amazing Karine Vanasse this season, can’t wait!
