Comic-Con First Look: Under the Dome's Stark and Moo-ving Key Art!

Get More: Comic-Con

Holy cow! CBS has unveiled the key art it’ll be using at San Diego Comic-Con for its summer smash Under the Dome, and it’s inspired by the most indelible (and crazy-gory) image from the show’s premiere.

Fret not — as you can see from the image below, you won’t have to relive the sight of bloody bovine innards. Instead, the poster reimagines — in a simple, graphic black sketch set against a blood-red background — the cow that got severed during the appearance of a mysterious dome over Chester’s Mill.

Under the Dome‘s Comic-Con panel, which will feature cast members Dean Norris, Mike Vogel and Rachelle Lefevre, plus executive producers Neal Baer and Brian K. Vaughan, is slated for Sunday at 2:15pm in Room 6BCF, with an autograph signing at the CBS interactive booth #4245 starting at 3:30pm.

  • Strange that there’s no actual dome, and the cow should be curved a bit.

    • I’m shocked you also didn’t complain that the cow didn’t have spots.

  • I had trouble with the cut in half cow because it was just a blank slate of red, not believable at all, with no organs or bones showing. I don’t care for gore, but I also don’t like things in shows that are blatantly unrealistic, either.

    • All I could say when I saw it was “that’s not what the inside of a cow looks like….” My wife just looked at me….
